I have a park reservation for Hollywood Studios on April 6th when it was normal hours. Now they just announced it will be closing at 5pm that day. Should I still go or pick another day?

Personally I'd switch parks. I want to be able to maximize the time I have.

It's a good possibility that will the be the least crowded park that day. If you have Park Hoppers then you can always jump after 2 to enjoy a night in another park. You also have the ability to find a good dinner location or visit Disney Springs in the evening.

I think so too. Historically, early closes---whether they are for hard-ticket Parties or private events---have most people thinking they'd be better off somewhere else. And whenever there is something that "most people" do, I try to do the opposite.

I rarely spend an open-close day in a theme park. Usually I'm a morning/break/evening person, or sometimes a "3/4 day" starting at rope-drop and ending mid-afternoon, or starting early afternoon and ending at close. A day when the park closes at 5 would probably be perfect for a morning 3/4 day. Pair that with a nice relaxing dinner somewhere either at Springs or one of the Resorts, and it could well be the best day of your trip.

That is what I was wondering if the park would be quieter due to the earlier closer time...I do have hoppers.

Wow. We live in Georgia and that’s spring break week for a lot of counties here (along with many other areas). That’s a really crowded time for a 5:00 close at a popular park.
