Holidays at DVC?

OK, first, I know that "somewhere" there is a waitlist for December already set up. For some reason...I cannot find it. Sorry.

Anyhoo, I closed this week on my own BWV contract. I've visited over the holidays at BWV with my sister who is an owner. I know I need 11 month ressies to get those rooms. Unfortunately that isn't possible this year.

I'll have my points this week and I'm thinking about calling for 3 weeknights during the second week of December. Any DVC, 1 bedroom or studio. Then I'll put myself on the impossible waitlist for BWV..

Is there any chance I'll get 3 nites anywhere? I don't want to get too hopeful if it's simply not going to happen.

I think you'll be ok getting something the 2nd week of December, especially since you're still outside of 7 months for BWV. We bought SSR last year and I made our ressie in August for Dec 16-22nd at BWV. We weren't able to get a 2BR, but no problem at all getting a 1BR

A one bedroom will be easier than a studio, believe it or not. Lots of people want to save points and they can fit four in a studio or a one bedroom. If you call exactly at 7 months and day by day, you might be able to get SSR or OKW, since they are both larger than the others.

FYI:

We originally had a trip planned from Dec 25-Jan 3 at POFQ; however, we joined DVC this week and decided to change to our home resort. Thankfully we were still able to get those same dates at SSR...

Congratulations on your purchase, and I do think you'll be able to book what you want. We're still in the home resort boking time, so you can't book anything other that BWV with those points, but sending you some pixie dust!
