DH and I are considering doing a tour this trip. I sent an email to Dana, the vacation planning "consultant" (or whatever she's called) at Disneyland -- she's the one who got us all the dining reservations and was so fantastic to work with, and she told me two are available.
Anyway, while we're there, they're going to be debuting the new format of the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour, which includes a "behind the scenes/historical" look at the Tiki Room, a look at the lobby of Club 33, and lunch on the Disney Gallery balcony in addition to the normal tour stuff. That sounds *fantastic* to us, but would require us upgrading one of our passes to an AP (I was considering doing that *anyway*, so no biggie there). She's going to see what's available for the time we're there.
Anyway, she also mentioned that the Holiday tour was available as well. It's less expensive, I don't think requires an AP, but as far as I know, it just shows you the decorations and takes you directly on HMH and IASWH. I can do that myself.
So, my question for those of you who have done either or both -- I know the Walk would be worth the cost and time to us. What about the Holiday tour? I don't think we'll be able to see the parade since I don't think it starts until after we've left, but I think they've substituted a viewing of the Christmas show in Fantasyland Theater instead.
