DH and I are considering doing a tour this trip. I sent an email to Dana, the vacation planning "consultant" (or whatever she's called) at Disneyland -- she's the one who got us all the dining reservations and was so fantastic to work with, and she told me two are available.

Anyway, while we're there, they're going to be debuting the new format of the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour, which includes a "behind the scenes/historical" look at the Tiki Room, a look at the lobby of Club 33, and lunch on the Disney Gallery balcony in addition to the normal tour stuff. That sounds *fantastic* to us, but would require us upgrading one of our passes to an AP (I was considering doing that *anyway*, so no biggie there). She's going to see what's available for the time we're there.

Anyway, she also mentioned that the Holiday tour was available as well. It's less expensive, I don't think requires an AP, but as far as I know, it just shows you the decorations and takes you directly on HMH and IASWH. I can do that myself.

So, my question for those of you who have done either or both -- I know the Walk would be worth the cost and time to us. What about the Holiday tour? I don't think we'll be able to see the parade since I don't think it starts until after we've left, but I think they've substituted a viewing of the Christmas show in Fantasyland Theater instead.

The Walk in Walts footsteps tour sounds pretty cool. How much was that one and who would we call to book it?

thanks !!
Kim

It's only for AP holders until Dec 15, so you'd have to have an AP for at least one member of your party. You can't book it until the 10th (which is tomorrow). I'm not sure what number you call, but I think it said on the announcement on the Annual Passholder's page for Disneyland. I've only gotten to *that* page by going through the "buying tickets" menu. I'm working through one of the vacation planning consultants via email.

It's $49/person, at least for adults. Not sure the cost for kids.

We are buying AP's when we go. We are both interested in going. thanks !!

Hey, it looks like we'll be at Disneyland at about the same time! What are your dates? We're there the 13th through the 17th and are planning an afternoon meet (1pm) on Saturday. Interested in joining us? :)

Just curious... is this a pin meet that you all are planning? Our family is headed down for 12/14-12/18.

Nope, just a regular DIS meet, but it'll be 11/16 rather than 12/16.

We are meeting up with some friends from LA on Sat but will be in the park later. So.....if we are there around 1pm we will check it out. ;)
