I also bought a couple of pairs of sunglasses, though I still haven't found a Summer dress yet

While we were at Bluewater yesterday for my laser eye exam (which I cant have - not sure if happy or not:rolleyes1) DH bought me this and said "This is the last thing you need for your holiday. NO MORE!! This is costing as much as the holiday!:lmao::lmao:

So i think this is the last of my clothing.. mind you am still after some nice new hair products!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Nice hoodie, Katie :thumbsup2
Sorry to hear you couldn't have the laser surgery, my hubby was the same they told him they could do it but within 3 years he'd need glasses/contacts again.

Mandy, I can't believe you came all the way up to the Trafford Centre and only bought one top, are you sure you don't have any more to confess:rotfl:
Like the one you did show us though :thumbsup2

Hi Natalie/Gaynor

Its complicated... my left eye is a "very badly lazy" eye and is technically under the level at which they will perform the surgery (according to their guidelines) but after chatting to other consultants she said other people with a similar level have had it done with no problems.... but that doesnt really fill me with confidence though.
They will only do the lazy eye first to see how it recovers, and will only do the most expensive treatment on it (for recovery reasons!) and if all goes well they would do the other eye.
The lazy eye will only improve by about 2 lines (at the most).. and would still always need the good eye to do all the work.

My prescription isnt that bad at -2.75, so athough I cant drive without my contacts/glasses and if i sit close enough to the TV without them I can watch it, I dont need them to make a cup of tea etc.

I know they will never give a cast iron guarantee, but as the results for the bad eye really wont make any difference, i really dont see the point of spending £2500 :scared1:
and running the risk of it not working.
I'm mostly quite happy with my lenses and glasses - i've been wearing them for years and manage to swim, ski etc, so DH has promised I can have a new pair of specs instead!:yay:

SO thats MUCH more money for my shopping!!:rotfl::rotfl: or next holiday!!:lmao::lmao:

Thats a shame but from what you have said i think you have made the right choice :)

While i waited for her to come back from her chat, it was almost a relief to think I didnt have to think about it anymore!

So i'll have a jazzy new pair of specs that are suitable for the outside world to see me in :rotfl: and get keep the money I dont have in the bank:rolleyes1

Roll on my Florida shopping in 4 day!!! Woohoo:cool1::cool1:

I bought a pair of these Birkenstocks today from John Lewis in Bluewater.

Flowery Birkenstocks

I love the Gizeh style and these ones have got gorgeous pink buckles. I just need some gorgeous weather so that I can wear them!

Very nice, Libby! :thumbsup2

I ordered these sunnies from Superdrug (lost a pair whilst in Florida!) as none of the ones I saw on hols came close for price...

I like your Birkenstocks Libby ::yes:: I wish I could wear sandals with the bit between your toes, but I find them so uncomfortable

Cool sunnies Karen :thumbsup2

Has anyone done any holiday shopping today ?

I went out to get some bits for myself but ended up just buying disposable bibs for my DD!! I did order the kids some gifts from the Disney florist today though!

I was the same until I tried Birkenstock Gizeh, the toe post is quite soft and rubbery.

BTW birkenstock fans - If anybody is a member of CostCo I bought some black patent Gizeh for £27 from there last week, absolute bargain. They had other styles and colours to - I got my Mummy some Silver Madrid for £22.
Yesterday I saw both in Russell and Bromely at Bluewater for around £40 a pair:scared1: quite a saving.....

CostCo also had Lelly Kelly shoes for girls for £30 - about 25% cheaper than shop price.

Very nice, Libby! :thumbsup2
