Speaking of silicone baking mats, where can I find these? I see them used on Food Network all the time and I want one!

Bed bath and Beyond, Target, Walmart.. I've seen them all over as of late. The "original" SilPat Mat is the most expensive but the standard silicone mats work just a well for baking. If you were doing sticky candy work I'd suggest the original SilPat.

I got a community cookbook - I love these and have gotten some really great recipes from these type of books.

For goodies I got:
A cinnamon apple candle - smells soo yummy
pumpking hand towel - very cute
cooke tray bags - can't wait to use these
mini loaf tins - always handy to have
bag of cinnamon apple potpourri - smells great
2 pkgs of ramon soup - DS loves these
a deluxe pie kit which contained a sm. book of recipes, a ceramic "chicken" pie vent, and a star and leaf shaped crust cutters. - I always wanted to get a pie vent
and a very cute set of cheese or dip spreaders with people dressed for the beach as the handle.

So thank you soooo much!!

Pumpkin Walnut Cookies

Recipe By :
Serving Size : 30 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Cookies

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup pumpkin -- cooked or canned
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 1/2 cups flour -- sifted
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1 cup walnuts -- coarsely chopped

Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in pumpkin, vanilla, lemon peel and juice. Resift flour with baking powder, salt and spices. Blend into butter mixture. Stir in walnuts.
Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheets 2" apart.
Bake 375 degrees for 12-14 minutes.


NOTES : To decorate: Spread with a vanilla butter cream frosting and make a "face" with walnut pieces and candy corn.

I never received a notice from the post office. I guess I need to go and check there. Ever since I have had this new letter carrier, service has been so-so.
