How does one post photos on the Dis?

OK, for some reason I am really drawn to this thread today. THIS tree might make it into someone's nasty blog, but I don't care. We call it our "Dr. Suess" tree, since it has all kinds of wacky stuff, mostly huge ting ting pieces, sticking out of it. But we love it, and it balances our big "fancy" one in the other room. Again, this is from last year...

I think that's really cool!

What a sad, bitter person that Sandra must be. I really enjoyed EVERY picture, and I'm sorry you took yours down (though I understand). It saddens me that one person can bring down such a fun thread, and maybe intimidate others from posting their pictures.

I want to thank everyone for their pictures here. It's been a hard year and I'm having an awful time getting into the holiday spirit, almost not wanting to decorate, but this pictures are cheering me up

who gives a rats behind what small minded losers think - they are the same people who have nothing better to do then to video tape "fat" people in WDW and post it on youtube. nice.

at least these people are living and enjoying themselves unlike the people to must have more vacation time then most that they can spend precious Disney time taking video of others.

don't let anyone force you into removing your pictures - dont give them the satisfaction of knowing that it made you upset.

i find people who do stuff like that are jealous we are living and enjoying life - they are sad small minded people who don't deserve to waste any time on.

I'm thinking about reposting.

Sandra must be jealous that you will be on your vacation in a few days! Have lots of fun!

I also think everyone's decorations are beautiful. If I could post pics I would. I did my decorating this week since I have been home sick. It has helped pick my spirits up! Happy Holidays to all!

Thanks everyone. I made the wreath. It was super easy. The stocking holders I got at Target a few years ago. Edit to add I just realized you were talking about the Mickey and Minnie, they are Jim Shore, but they aren't holders.

Okay - I know I'm supposed to be looking at the decorations, but I love the fireplaces, that one curved staircase, I want that dark greenish recliner, and my DD would absolutely KILL to have that Mickey wreath!!!!!!

Just wanted to post and say thanks to Sandra whoever you are. Real classy to send pics of some of our decorations to a website that pokes fun at the way we choose to decorate our houses and our trees. I only post here on the DIS because I like most of the people here and some are very good friends. It's pretty disgusting that someone would copy photos that do not belong to you. I found out about this when a friend from the DIS sent me an email.

About the website, I sent an email requesting the blog owner remove my photos. Their response? Block access to the site except by invitation. Pretty much the reaction that most bullies take- run and hide once they take a pot shot.

Are you kidding me?? Someone takes a fun, happy thread and does something as juvenile as that?

If it's the web site I think it is, the people who post there are complete idiots who have nothing better to do than poke fun at others.. They obviously have no life and act like a bunch of mean spirited 13 yr. olds..

PLEASE put your photos back up! We're here to enjoy this thread - not act like immature children..

That is totally awesome! How'd you make it? Is it 3 pre-made wreaths wired together or did you use a wreath and some garland?

Please share, DH totally wants one!

It really was super easy, anyone can make one. It was just 2 wreaths, one cut in half. Because the wire was so thick my DH cut it and twisted the wires together. I just used left over decorations and ribbon to decorate it. And because I hate to change the lights over and over, I spent a little more and bought a string of soft white LED dome lights. They are the little ones. I think with the cost of the lights and the wreaths I spent no more than $20. Now I am going to make a new one for the porch, but since I have some left over mini mickey head ornaments I am going to have a little more on it than this one. Here is a picture of the back where the wires are wrapped. Also, try and find a slightly smaller wreath to cut, you don't want the ears to be too big.

Love the Mickey Wreath! I bought one from the Disney Store one year but it's not nearly as nice as the one you made!

As for the Scrooges who have nothing better to do than make fun of other families decorations, I say get a life! Xmas is the time we can throw all caution to the wind and decorate to our heart's content. The more elaborate and creative, the better!

We didn't do much decorating last year. 1 because we didn't have any decorations, and 2, because we had 8 month old kittens and was afraid to put glass ornaments on the tree.

Clearly, they were more confused and frightened by the tree than they wanted to play with it, so here's to hoping we can put up ornaments this year!
