I realize it takes a seriously talented person to cut a chunk out of their thumb with a PLASTIC knife, but it's okay, you don't have to request an encore.....

There must be a story behind this!

Yeah - I just cut a sizeable chunk out of my thumb while cutting a bagel open with a plastic knife at work....... why is it that those knives are absolutely useless for cutting a bagel, or even a slab of butter, but somehow went right through my thumb without a pause??

If it needed a bandaid, I'll give you a clap. But if it needed stitches, then you'll get a standing ovation! :rotfl:

Fortunately a bandaid repaired the damage...... thanks for your support though. It's much appreciated..... I'll be headlining at the Ordway next week if you're interested. :lmao:

This fits in nicely with what a den leader said at a cub scout dinner this evening when reviewing the years activities " The boys learned safe knife handling skills with only a few accidents" and he said it with a straight face and looked totally surprised when we all chuckled.

One of my DD's is similarly talented. When she was 7 she cut the tip of her little finger on one of those plastic saucer sleds. Her finger looked like it had been cut with a potato peeler, we ended up making a trip to the ER for stitches, which had to be followed up with trips to a plastic surgeon (because there was concern about the blood flow to the hunk of skin that had peeled back). DH went over the sled trying to find where she had cut herself, but didn't find any sharp edges. We just ended up pitching the sled. We still occasionally tease her about how it takes talent to cut yourself with a plastic sled, I will have to let her know that she is not alone in this talent.
