I just got off the phone with HoJo. I called the number (714) 776-6120 and they transferred me to "reservations".

I'm pretty sure I didn't get the in house reservations because she didn't know much about the Entertainment Rate and asked me what the card number is. I don't know what the card number is since the Reservations are for January and the Entertainment Book isn't good until after November so I haven't bought one yet. I just told her I would call back later after being frustrated with her not telling me if this was in house or not when I asked.

Do you think I got transferred to the main reservation line? How do I make sure to talk to someone in house about getting the best Entertainment rate for when I go? I called the direct line but when I said I was making a reservation, he just transferred me right away.

Thanks!

Ask to be transferred to In House Reservations specifically.

I had this happen as well, when I said "I like to make a reservation" I was thrown to the central reservation line. When I called back saying "Can you please connect me to In House Reservations?" I got transferred to Jennifer from In House Reservations.

You called at lunchtime their time (which is also your and my time of course). Yep, you got transferred. Same thing happened to me, first time I called.

Call after 1. :)

Sometimes I have even gotten transferred to the main reservations line after specifically asking for in house.

(If you get put on hold) I found that if you are actually on hold for in house, it says something to that effect while you are waiting. On hold with the main reservations line, it just talked about Hojos in general.

Anytime I have called in house, I have always talked to either Jennifer, Jessica, Desi or Lorealle. :goodvibes

I made my reservations online and then called and asked for "in-house" to change it to the Entertainment rate.

Yes, you were transferred to the central reservation line, they don't know anything about the super cool Ent Rate that our HoJo offers. :) They will just give you the standard 15% off. I've been sent to them a time or two but they've always said "no this is central reservations, would you like me to send back to the Anaheim location?" and they send me back. Just call back, ask for In House reservations and do that until you actually someone In House, they will tell you they are In House when you ask. :)

The ame thing happened to me when I called a few weeks ago. I bugged me because if I wanted the main reservation line I wouldn't have called the direct hotel line on my dollar rather than their 800 number. My reservationist was also confused about the disboard discount. I went ahead and made my reservation, but plan on calling the hotel directly (possibly tomorrow since it's my day off) and making sure I get the appropriate discounts.

Remember that you have to call during business hours (Mon-Fri) to get in-house reservations I believe.

Do you need the entertainment card number to make a reservation or can you get it later when you check in?

You just have to show the card at check in, you do not need the card to make your reservations. For example, I made reservations for our Dec trip at the $59 Ent Rate back in May, the 2010 Ent Card wasn't even available then. :) And I just made a reservation for next weekend at lunch today, I keep my Ent Card in my travel bag so I always have it when we go to DL, so I didn't have it when I made that ressie. :)

Now I just have to find a book! I thought I could get one at my credit union but they don't have them anymore. Neither does the bookstore or AAA. I could order one, but probably wouldn't get it by next week, so may have to change my date.

Look on eBay, I got my card for 09 there for $5 shipped. :)
