HoJo News! CASTAWAY COVE NOW OPEN!!

What a fake out! I thought you were going to say Castaway cove was open!

Microwaves? LOL. :)

Oh wow! They have made a lot of progress in the time since we were there on June 7. It looks great!!!! I cannot wait to stay there now. :yay: And microwaves are pretty cool too. My son will be happy because he can have oatmeal for breakfast now. :rotfl:

Thank you for the news DangerMouse! We have an NQQ2 room reserved for our December trip and since we have food allergies in our family we always get groceries delivered to our room. The microwave will be such a helpful thing for us. :)

Yay, we wont have to drag one of our 'spares'. (one less thing in the car)

Cool! I have a dumb question - are the Building 2 Deluxe rooms the ones that go for $59 w/entertainment card? That's what we have booked in a few months. Either way, we probably wouldn't use it, but it's a nice option :)

Yep, the NQQ2 rooms are the deluxe queen/queen rooms in bldg. 2 and go for $59 at the ent. rate. These are my favorite rooms and even moreso now with microwaves! I can reheat my MiMi's leftovers! :cool1:

Yeah! A Microwave definitely opens our breakfast possibilities!

I have a question--when I called and requested a NQQ2 room, they said that they would put in the preference, but they could not guarantee it. Is this odd? Anyone else run into this problem?

Did you call the hotel directly or the reservations line? If you call the hotel directly, they will tell you which room/category you have (we have NQQ2 for October - there is a fridge, micro, safe, Internet, all the good stuff :thumbsup2)

I have 2 questions now that I see microwaves have been added to the NQQ2 rooms...
Has the bedding been replaced to match the premium rooms?
Is there any difference to NQQ2 to NQQ1 other than the view?

Lorealle posted a while back on her boards that the NQQ2 rooms were in the process of all being converted to the new beds/bedding. I haven't seen an update from her stating that they all have been converted yet. YOu could always put in a request for a room with the new beds. Other than micro, the only difference is that most of the premium rooms in Bldg. 1 have a vanity/sink outside the bathroom. The rooms in bldg. 2 do not. I have also found the Bldg. 2 rooms to be quieter overall.

As mentioned above, yes, but a $59 ent. rate room isn't necessarily in bldg. 2. Blds. 3,4,5 and 6 are also at that same rate. :)

Ooooooooo goodie! Microwaves!!! I can't wait. I'll be staying there in Dec for the first time (thanks so much to the Dis!!!!) I hope we get as room with the new bedding as well. Is is possible that it might be warm enough for DD to use Pirate Cove in Dec?

The double/double rooms in the pavillion bldgs. 3-6 are considered standard rooms, not deluxe. But yes, they are offered at the same $59 ent. rate.

That is for sure good news!!! There was a few times with our trip in december that a microwave would have come in handy.... and with the new pool area I CANT WAIT until our next trip!!!!:cool1:
