Just checked the HoJo site & they have nothing listed for the entire months of Sept & Oct.

Does anyone know if they will release some days in the future or did I just miss the boat on this discount? Am I too late??

I hope not! We always stay at the HoJo & can afford Disney because of this great discount.

They have already released them. I tried booking for my Oct trip (Sept 30-Oct 6) late Feb/early March and they were totally sold out on Sept 30-Oct 2nd. And soon after that my entire week was gone.

That being said, if some cancels new dates can come up. Keep checking, you never know. I have seen some people able to switch a regular ressie to the retro rate for some or all of their dates when they came available for May.

The only available time in September or October when I booked in April was Oct 21-25 so that is what we took. It was available last week.
You would need to book your dates at the regular discount, and then watch for your dates to open up...which will be closer to your trip. If theyvdo, you can call them to change the applicable dates to the Ent/Retro rate.

We are booked at Hojo for October 18-21 with the ENT rate. I booked this a while ago. Back in February I think...

If I booked now at the regular rate....is the cancellation policy still the same as with the ENT rate? I know they just recently changed their ENT cancellation policy and if I'm not able to get the regular rate changed to ENT rate, then chances are we wouldn't be going.:headache:

So I would want to make sure that I could cancel if I didn't get the ENT rate....

I Believe regular rates have a 48hr cancellation policy. :confused3 Someone please correct me if I am wrong? Are you referring to the DISBoards discount? I think that is 48hrs as well? You can call in-house reservations & they will be able to answer any questions for you. :)
We booked our retro rate for late October-early November back at the beginning of the year. I did see some Oct dates come available not too long ago but they are gone now. Keep checking! I hope you are able to get some!! :thumbsup2

Thanks Sally! Me too!

I was referring to any regular discount thats not the ENT/Retro rate. So if I book now, I can get an extra 15% off with my ENT card, I just can't get the amazingly low ENT/Retro rate because they aren't available. But if I do book at a "normal" rate with my 15% off discount, what would the cancellation policy be?? That's my main question ;)

Because if nothing opens up, then I will have to cancel the reservation and we won't be going. I looked into the "regular" discounted rates and they are still more then double what we typically pay. Sadly, we just can't afford that!:sad2:

If you book at the regular rates or non-retro discount rates, then the cancellation policy is the regular 48 hour policy. Also, if you book a mixed reservation, some of the days retro rate and some not, the cancellation policy is still 48 hours. The only times that I know the cancellation policy to be different are when you book a retro rate only reservation (retro rate for all nights) or you book one of those online deals that explicitly states no cancellations, changes, etc.

Awesome news!

I just checked the HoJo site & they have some ENT rates for Nov. So I'm thinking maybe we will fly instead of drive (cost is the same :headache: from Seattle to CA) and go in Nov instead of Sept. That way I can get the discount!:thumbsup2

I've never been the 1st week of Nov. How are the crowds? I'm assuming the holiday decor will be up right?? Oh no...I just thought of the pool at the HoJo. My son's favorite thing is the pirate water park. That's still open in Nov, right?

We haven't been the first week of November, but we have been during the month of November. I believe you will be too soon for holiday decor. You'll be in that in-between period when you'll see the Halloween stuff coming down and maybe a few Christmas things show up here and there. Small World will be closed; HM will be open and in holiday mode. The pool will be open unless there's some sort of planned maintenance. Weather can be all over the place, so it might be warm enough for water play, might not. Kids are often hardier than adults with respect to that.

I was afraid of that! I was so hoping to see the holiday decor....

We are from Seattle...so even if it's raining my kid will be swimming. Seriously! So as long as it's open...maybe I should call the HoJo and double check?

Hi there, I am new to Disboards, but saw that you live in Seattle area. I live in Snohomish! What part of Seattle are you in? I was looking at the post you mentioned retro rates at the Hojo & I wondered what that was? We love to stay at the Hojo when we go.

Hojos has recently changed their rates and how they work. There are a couple of threads about it from the last day or two.

Hi there! We are in South Everett- just a few minutes from Snohomish! So practically neighbors!;)

Yes- HoJo's has drastically changed their rates. Sign up on their website for emails to get access to their deals. Seems they are no longer offering the excellent rates they once were. And in the time that I initially posted this thread to now- rates have gone up.:headache:

I ended up just booking at the best avail rate & then I got a small discount on that with my ET card. Although now with all the changes...I doubt it even matter.:rolleyes1

Best of luck to you!
