Professor Black: She knew exactly what he meant. Melanie saw Jane and nodded, pulling Jackson back into her office and motioning Jane to listen through the door. "Your mother hurt a lot of people," she started. "But that doesn't make you responsible. You're a thirteen-year-old fatherless boy with a lot of crazy family. Trust me, I've been there myself."

Jackson: He stopped crying. "I suppose." He sighed. "I know she's out there by the way."

Professor Black: "I figured this was the best way to explain it all," she sighed. "I really do owe you an explanation. I know how your mother works, and it is rather horrible. She'll take the ones closest to you and harm them just to get at you. And when everyone you love is gone, she'll come straight to you. I know it sounds awful, but I'm certain that's how it is." She hoped that Jackson was okay hearing this because it was the best explanation she could give.

OOC Happy Fourth of July everyone!! I feel so disappointed... I wake up early to watch the Spider-Man Marathon and my mom is watching TV instead so I have to go to the basement and it's sooo.... spider-y down there.

Vanessa: Vanessa turned and headed back to the Slytherin Common Room. When she finally got to her dorm, she grabbed a quill and parchment and wrote quite the letter to her father.

Dear Father, thanks for the info about the Death Eater, I got the letter after we met, AND after we were talking about working together. Must I? She's ever so snobby and quite the brat! Send back soon, Vanessa

She sighed and set her quill down, now sitting on her bed. She stood and called her owl, Amos, over (he was perched on the opposite bedpost). "Take this to father," she instructed. "And do it quickly," she added. Her owl flew out the dorm, over top of the other Slytherins' heads in the Common Room, and then exited the room, all in an okay speed. Vanessa would have preferred then going and taking a nice, long nap, but she didn't. Instead, she took a walk through the corridors, looking and listening for anything that could become useful information for the Death Eaters. Anything she could use to prove her loyalty and finally, officially, join them.
