Veronica: Veronica shrugged. She'd noticed the other Slytherins. "Well some of it's not really trouble. Some of it was just me defending myself when people have started a fight with me. Other times........I visit the Restricted Section in the Library, or I get caught walking around after curfew, or I pull pranks. Just humorous one, I never pull pranks that could actually hurt someone. Except if it's one of those situations where I have no choice, when other Slytherins are chasing me down to fight me for example."

Professor Black: She noticed the students walk in and glanced at them from her desk, smiling warmly. "Well, and you? You're a bit early, so you'll have a few minutes before we start."

Jackson: He sighed of relief. I'd rather be late than early Professor. I heard what Professor Linus said to you earlier as well. He wouldn't actually hurt a student would he?"

Professor black: I'm sure something will catch your interest...Lucky for you, the NEWT curriculum has been changed very slightly-today you will be studying the patronus charm.

Jackson: He sighed of relief. I'd rather be late than early Professor. I heard what Professor Linus said to you earlier as well. He wouldn't actually hurt a student would he?"

Veronica: Veronica's face broke into a smile. "That sounds very interesting indeed Professor!" She didn't ask why the DADA teacher wasn't teaching this, sometimes it was better not to ask.

If you watch yourselves carefully you'll be fine." She tried to look reassuring, although she had worried quite a lot over what the professor had said. After all, she would do anything to protect a student-and he knew that. She just supposed she had to find a way to fix whatever horrors were set to be in place without allowing herself to be found out.

Professor Black: "I'm afraid some things are better dealt with in other ways. And in matters otherwise, we haven't any evidence to produce that would state there is a problem." She didn't run straight out and say it, but Professor Black knew that running to The headmistress would do nothing but create a bigger problem and put many more in danger-that was just the nature of being magical.

He has influence." Veronica didn't like it, but being around Slytherins for six years had given her a window into how they worked.

She was slightly worried about this year, but the excitement of the patronus was a nice thing to get that off her mind. She was eager to start.

Cindy: Cindy found Jackson and brought him his stuff. "I grabbed it for you," she said, not wanting to bring up the question buzzing in her head: Why did you leave? She sat in the front of the class, eager to learn the Patronus charm. She'd only seen it once, when her mother was giving her an example. Learning a Patronus would be amazing!

Vanessa: Vanessa slipped in the classroom door and smiled. Patronuses? Awesome. She'd never tried the charm before, and was eager for something that was said to defend people. And send messages. It would be easier and probably safer to speak to her father, if she could master it... She rose her hand. "They can be used to send messages," she said to the Professor.

Lucas: The Patronus charm? He was an OWL student, he could learn that. Lucas also knew that Patronuses protected from more than just Dementors, but he didn't raise his hand. Luke never volunteered for answers.
