Georgie: she pulled him close again. "I don't know what I would do without you, Evan." She kissed along his jawline and giggled. "You need to shave."

Evan: "Probably you'd get very bored. I'll do it later."

Georgie: "I would." She started to blush. "Evan, you don't know how much it means to me to have you. I wouldn't have gotten through my insanity without you. You make me feel safe. And sane. And you don't know how much I love and care about you." She looked down. "Well that was embarrassing to say."

Evan: "Sometimes we need to get stuff out. Don't worry, I love you too, and whatever happens with the adoption, nothing will change. Well, okay, we might need to be slightly more subtle. But nothing will really change."

Georgie: "Aww, I don't want to be more subtle." She sighed. "Do you think, maybe, that Ivy would ever think of me as a mom? I mean, if she thinks of you as a dad." She played with his hair. "I think that this is very noble, for you to do this, to help this girl and possibly settle a feud between the two families. I could never have an arranged marriage, and she knows you more than the others. I am proud of you."

Georgie: "Aww, I don't want to be more subtle." She sighed. "Do you think, maybe, that Ivy would ever think of me as a mom? I mean, if she thinks of you as a dad." She played with his hair. "I think that this is very noble, for you to do this, to help this girl and possibly settle a feud between the two families. I could never have an arranged marriage, and she knows you more than the others. I am proud of you."

Evan: He laughed at her, then grew sober. "I don't know. She knows us as professors, but not personally. Maybe, with time." He smiled slightly. "Thing is, I'm not trying to be noble. I'm just trying to take care of a student, and keep her from a terrible fate like an arranged marriage. But she will like my dad, once my dad hears about her he'll start spoiling her, writing songs too. Heck, once my father hears about you he'll be showering you with gifts."

Evan: He laughed at her, then grew sober. "I don't know. She knows us as professors, but not personally. Maybe, with time." He smiled slightly. "Thing is, I'm not trying to be noble. I'm just trying to take care of a student, and keep her from a terrible fate like an arranged marriage. But she will like my dad, once my dad hears about her he'll start spoiling her, writing songs too. Heck, once my father hears about you he'll be showering you with gifts."

Georgie: she smiled. "I don't think I could get used to that. And I know you aren't trying to be. I think it's in your nature." She snuggled into him. "Dinner is in a little while. I don't want to leave, but Mel and hopefully, her new boyfriend aren't going to be there, and I don't want Harriet to flip." She sighed. "What does it feel like, to be showered with gifts? It sounds sorta nice. But honestly, I'd rather have one of your kisses than all the presents in the world."

I don't want to leave, but Mel and hopefully, her new boyfriend aren't going to be there, and I don't want Harriet to flip." She sighed. "What does it feel like, to be showered with gifts? It sounds sorta nice. But honestly, I'd rather have one of your kisses than all the presents in the world."

Evan: "It does sound like a large step." He laughed. "Just because they went on one date doesn't mean they're together! But I suppose we'll go to dinner and behave." Evan smiled a nostalgic smile. "Christi and I were really only spoiled like that when we were younger. Dad always wanted us to be happy and feel confident, and he wanted it to hurt less whenever he went on tour without us. Recently, birthdays have been huge, but no other time. Dad loves kids, and he'll want to make you feel like you're part of the family." His eyes sparkled and he kissed her again.

Oh, he'll like you, and he'll be so surprised I 'finally got myself a girl' that he'll fall out of his chair. Of course, he might just do so anyway, I also have to tell him I'm adopting a fourteen year old girl."

Evan: "I suppose I'll write to his rock-star mansion that we-I grew up in and see if he's around." He untangled himself from the couch and Georgie and wrote a note, speaking as he wrote:

I guess I'm doing okay now, but some really off the wall crazy stuff has happened at Hogwarts, and not the usual crazy stuff. But most are still alive, so that is a plus. Anyway, some new things have happened to me, big things, and I'd really like to talk to you, so I was wondering if you were at home this weekend, because if you are I'm hoping that a friend and I can swing by.

Evan: "I suppose I'll write to his rock-star mansion that we-I grew up in and see if he's around." He untangled himself from the couch and Georgie and wrote a note, speaking as he wrote:

I guess I'm doing okay now, but some really off the wall crazy stuff has happened at Hogwarts, and not the usual crazy stuff. But most are still alive, so that is a plus. Anyway, some new things have happened to me, big things, and I'd really like to talk to you, so I was wondering if you were at home this weekend, because if you are I'm hoping that a friend and I can swing by.

Georgie: she sat quietly as Evan wrote the letter. She fixed her hair, which always seemed to get messed up when she was around Evan. "What was it like to grow up like that? I grew up with insane people, I didn't exactly have the most normal childhood."

My parents tried, but rarely were they both home for any given time. They loved us and they tried, but sometimes they just couldn't do it. And anytime we were out in public with our parents, particularly if all four of us were there, our faces would be in the paper the next day. Going on tour with dad was fun but overwhelming. Mom's fashion shows were boring, but I think Christine enjoyed them a little more than me. We stayed home a lot, it wasn't like we could go out and play with the neighborhood kids. But my parents did their best."

Georgie: "Wow. But that really sounds better than my childhood." She sighed. "My name, my parents would just scream it all the time. That's why I hate it so much. Think of me on one of my episodes and multiply that by five. And have that happening all the time, and you can't escape." She put her face in her hands and groaned. "My parents were fine until just before I was born. They were driven insane by a death eater, we never found out who. I had to practically raise myself, they barely did anything to help me. You knew that I was in there somewhere. They weren't. They had been long gone. I had to do all these odd jobs to pay for things, because they didn't really work at all. I hoped I would get to go to hogwarts, to be away from these crazy people." she sighed again. "It was horrible. I can't explain it well. I'm glad that I didn't have siblings, I didn't want them to have to go through what I had to." She looked up at Evan. "I never really had parents. That's why I've worked at daycares and now teaching. I want to care for these kids. I don't want them to ever feel alone." she put her head back on the couch. "Well that sounded stupid. I'm sorry if I'm boring you with this stuff."
