I am so very excited!! I called yesterday and obtained ressies for 6 for the House of Blues Gospel Brunch on July 11. This is an extremely popular event and I was just thrilled to be able to get the ressie.

If we chose upstairs, we would have had our party split up amongst different tables. We did have a choice, however, of being stage front or near the food. Well I went with the food, lol.

Anyone been recently? The menu sounds absolutely yummy! :)

Thanks for reminding me to post my question Carol! (and congrats on the ressies, sounds like you'll have a terrific time)

I was curious to know whether this brunch was only on Sundays. I had read somewhere that it was offered everyday but can't find anything to confirm this. I actually tried to call HOB a while back but got a "I'm not sure, I think so but maybe not" answer. I was more confused than ever before!

So what day is the brunch? Sunday only or every day of the week? And what time???

My partner and I would love to do this!

Only on Sundays. 10:30 and 1:00 PM. The second one rarely sells out and is always less crowded- according to HOB employess I have chatted with. Info at www.hob.com. Sit up front, view is much better, and you may get recruited onstage :) I was pulled up last time to rejoice on stage, and it was a blast :)

It is a VERY large hall. Get your made to order foods before going to the buffet lines or you will wait forever if you want a MTO omelette. Arrive 30 minutes early to pick up tix and get in line. You have a 'reserved seat', but this will allow you to get your food while the others behind you are still filtering in.

I will be there June 13th- just got my tix today (how appropriate that a post shows up about it :)) Don't wait forever to get tix, but don't panic if it is only a few days before (like me). You can almost always get in the second show, according to HOB folks :) Last time I went we got tix the day before, 10:30 show, stage front without a problem- but I have a feeling we just got lucky :) I would get them as soon as you know you want to go :)

Thanks for sharing.

I'm thinking about doing this on December 26. I think the late show will be perfect for us.

Can you pick up your tickets before the day of the show or have them mailed to you?

Just pick them up at will call before you get in line the day of the show. The line forms right behind the ticket booths, anyways. If you arrive per my suggestions, the lines will still be short :) I do will call for everything I possibly can, less chance of losing things :)

ONE more important thought. If you are a 'ham' and want to praise Him on stage, tell the reservationist that you heard the people sitting right up front have a chance to get onstage during the performance and you were wondering if those seats were available. I asked again today and got the table right in front of the stage :) Just a little hint for anyone that may be interested. There is no guarantee, but the odds are pretty good :)

Been 2x and loved the food both times.

Hiya,

I made a PS for August for the HOB Gospel brunch and I got an 11:00 ps. Does that sound right? I thought there were 2 sittings - 10:30 and 1. We definately want in on the whole gospel choir thing (we're going instead of church that sunday ;) ) and I'd even love to sit up front.

Any suggestions? Should I call back and try a different CM? Or do I need to call HOB to make this ressie?

Thanks!

Beth

I always call HOB for this. Didn't even know CRO did ressies. Start time is 10:30- maybe it is changing... I would call back :)

HOB can sit you up front- don't know if CRO has that ability :)
