That's great Janet! I wish my parents were into Disney as much as you are :) I'll keep my fingers crossed for you...

ok official envy here. First the Panama cruise and now at Xmas. Sigh.

Have lots of fun though. :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

How long will you be there? We're all going the second week of January to participate in the Marathon. Can you stay until the 9th of January??

Hoping for great weather!!

Stay until at least the 23rd!!!:)

:sunny:

We'll be at the BCV from Dec 15-23. We have plans to do MVMCP and CP while we're there to get nto the Christmas spirit. We'll try leave the place in good shape for you. :p

Mike,

You will love MVMCP and CP. I loved the CP better because it was so moving. Did you get the dinner package with your tickets? You should because it makes for a great evening.

We also enjoyed MVMCP but DD started throwing up around 10:20 that night (just as I sat down in Country Bears) and then she proceeded to be sick every half hour for the next 6 hours. I ended up taking her to the walk-in clinic the next day because she was just 13months old and I was worried about her dehydrating.

However, it is in our plans to go back in a few years and take in all that MVMCP has to offer. You can't do it all in one night. You should also get the Liberty Tavern add on dinner with your tickets, but be sure to get an early PS so that you don't miss any of the party.

Janet, what did you tell them at work? Just that you're going over the river for Christmas?:p

It looks like we will be getting that time off work so thought better take advantage. I wish I could cheer you all on for the marathon but no can do!

Need as much time for next year's jaunts!

They are on a need to know basis! ;)

It's funny because I have a pic of SSR as my screensaver and when everybody sees it, they all comment on what a beautiful place! I tell them that it is my summer cottage! They reply, "Yeah, someday kid!"LOL

At least I get to spend New Year's at the World!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

PS The best part, techinically we will be there in October, November, December, January!LOL

We did CP when we were down for Christmas 3 years ago. Gary Sinise was the reader and we went to an early presentation on Christmas Eve followed by dinner in Japan. My parents, who met us down there, found it to be a very moving experience. We haven't booked it yet for this year - I'm not sure the schedule's been announced, yet.

We've never done MVMCP before, but are really looking forward to it. Gonna order those tickets next week (after the billing date on the credit card). :teeth:

Mike,

You'll love MVMCP. But try to go early in the week - Tuesday Dec 9th was great last year - the crowds aren't as heavy earlier in the week as they can be later.

The Christmas shows are fantastic, and there's lots to see and do!

The fake "snow" falling on Main Street is a nice touch - wierd - but nice!
Even better when you know you're missing the real thing back home!!:)

We saw the CP last year with David Ogden Stiers, and it was incredible. Very true to the spirit of Christmas.

I'd go again at that time of year in a heartbeat - no crowds, everything is decorated for Christmas, and you get to have Christmas afterward when you return!

Cheers!

Janet-

I'm still trying to swing the Dec thing too. Let me know your dates. But as I told you before.....my marriage might be in big trouble if I leave him alone for Christmas.   :p

Technically!

Have booked December 26, 2004 - January 2, 2005

Even if we don't get that time off, techinically I will only have to use two days! Plus points wise it was cheaper than at March Break!

Oh, you will such a wonderful time, Janet! ::yes::

We went for New Year's 2002 and spent NY Eve at EPCOT. I vividly remember standing there with my family, watching the special version of Illuminations at midnight and then being able to see MGM's fireworks continue on afterwards. It was so magical!!

Wish it were me! Atta go - think of me.

I've been told "No more Disney" after our October
trip :( I still keep working on it though-I'd love to
do the cruise (even a short one).

Well I guess I'll plan for European tour next year
(can you say Disneyland-Paris?).

How wonderful for you and Tanya :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

What are you telling your Mom ??? Can't really claim to be at Wal-Mart that whole time, now can you ??? :teeth:

What were you able to get for flights? We're driving in January, but the thought of flying certainly does appeal to me ... I just wish it weren't so darned expensive for a family of 4. And my skills at "finding deals" are incredibly limited. I'm not trustworthy of anything I could find on the Internet, so I'd be the one going to a TA and saying, "here's my credit card, it has a huge limit, find me 4 flights" and it would end up costing more than a good downpayment on DVC :earseek:

Congrats on the trip ... here's some :wizard: for BC.

Janet have a blast! But we'll see you at the holiday down there before thatone ... will share our Xmas experiences then.

Penny

Ps. Mom and I are chosing to hit the special events rather than holidays, lets see, F&WF '04 then F&GF '05 then what is next...? Maybe that should be your plan for '06. lol.

All I know it will have to be before the PAP's expire!LOL

Let's see, Our Thanksgiving?

Time will tell!

DD and I are already fighting as to who gets the whirlpool bath first!LOL

This is when I tell her I'm going to TARGET!LOL

I haven't booked flights as of yet. Waiting for a sale!

Especially since AC is still only good until the end of September, wanna wait at least until then!

Julie ~ I gave Tanya the option of either after Christmas or for Easter again. At least for Christmas it will be a week! For Easter just the weekend! Geez, I'm glad she picked the right one!

Even if it's cold, you'll see the two of us on the lazy river at BCV!LOL

Lucky You!!!! I'd love to go over the Christmas hoidays, but DH is a traditionalist and cannot imagine not spending the holidays with all the relatives:rolleyes:

Somehow I think they'd survive without us for one year.;)

It will be a great time for you both!

Arlene
