"2 wheels, 3 wheels or 4 wheel electric scooter"
FYI... 2-wheeled devices are not allowed. It must be at least 3 wheels and able to free-stand when unoccupied.

From the WDW rules/prohibited items:

That is great information. Thanks.

I always rent a 3 wheel scooter-they're so much easier to maneuver and have a smaller turning radius. Also, when I was looking to buy a scooter, I asked the salesperson if it was true that a 4 wheel has greater stability than a 4 wheel, thus making it a better purchase. Note, the 4 wheel scooter cost more money, and assuming the sales person worked on commission, would net them more money. Yet, they told me that while that used to be true, in the last few years, technology has improved on the stability of the 3 wheel, making it just as stable as the 4 wheel. So I was encouraged to buy the less expensive, 3 wheel scooter. Good to know!

I own a 3 wheel scooter and I just came back from taking it with me to WDW last week and it was so easy to maneuver through crowds, lines, and on transportation. I just like how the 3 wheel has a much tighter turn than the 4 wheel.

I feel better on a 4-wheel scooter. It seems sturdier and more stable to me. It's heavier; so, I think that has something to do with it.

4-wheel scooters are more weight capable; so, that could be important if you are a heavier person.

Many 4-wheel scooters last longer on the battery. They have a bigger battery and/or two batteries. So, if you plan on being in the parks for a longer day that could be important.

If you are using Disney transportation to get around it's probably easier to use a 3-wheel scooter. The same is true with getting it in and out of a car. If you are renting a scooter at the park, then this doesn't really matter.

You need to decide what's best for you.

I have used 3- and 4-wheel scooters, and both serve their purpose.
