Can ya' believe it?!? I saw it with my wife this morning (courtesy of a free ticket from Disney Deals on ebay and one from Santa Clause 2 DVD). Not a bad movie, but certainly doesn't touch the other attraction movie POTC (which I can't wait to own)! IMHO, they should have went for funny or scary, not both - in this case, Eddie Murphy was wasted talent... And didn't he used to do a bit about caucasion people sticking around in scary situations, saying that African-Americans wouldn't? The Evers family seemed undaunted when they were confronted with ghosts and things of the occult nature...Hmmm...
Anyhow, the movie was okay. I think the son totally upstaged Eddie in terms of funny and the ghosts did a great job. The movie truly is a tribute to the attraction though and I had fun recognizing parts of the real HM ride in the movie. Can't wait to see the Disneyland version of the ride again this February!
