Am I having a "duh" moment or something? I downloaded DING to check out the DTW to MCO for $34-39 for the dates 3/1-6/9/06 (which I did successfully!) However when I try to select departure date only dates 2/26 - 3/4 show up. Am I missing something or shouldn't I be able to select a date beyond 3/4? HELP!!

You have to enter your departure date and return date at the top "When are your travelling ?" and select your departure city you are interested in. This should help. I just tryed it, but my dates are gone in March. Im looking for a departure from Buffalo. But Detroit is still an option.

Yeah,I'm really glad this Ding came up this morning. The airfare for my date going went down to $44 one-way but the way back was the same it's been:
either $147 one-way for the 8am flight or $167 for the 11:15am flight. So we decided to take the later flight. It's a little easier than getting up super early.
I'm still gonna keep an eye on the Southwest Dings and see if my return flight (it's a Sunday) goes down. Then I'll just cancel and rebook at the lower cost.
Debbie

Ok, yes, it was a "duh" moment...I figured it out. Amazing how quick you can figure things out after admitting your "duh-ness" to the world!

I got my DINGS!! I called Southwest and claimed stupidity (I really was lost!) A very nice lady guided me through the process. By then some of the DINGS had reappeared. As I was booking the new flight, she was cancelling my own. I apologized a million times for being so bad with this but she was so understanding!!! Now I have a $384 credit!

I don't usually use Southwest but for this I will. The best part is that I can give the credit to anybody else to use so I may be able to get my money back. BUT from what Lisa (the SW agent) told me, since I changed the price on one flight I can get that back on my credit card but since I changed the other completely, it stays as a credit. Does that make sense??

THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY WHO HELPED ME!!!! I LOVE THESE BOARDS!

First and foremost:Do you have the Southwest 'Ding' downloaded? And did you put Detroit as your departure city? They ask this when you first start to download Ding....
Hopefully if your good to go you should be getting these offers....they are good till 11PM tonight.
Good Luck.
Debbie

Yes, I have it downloaded, but have to use the back door approach to get to them....just doesn't work on my puter for some reason. I have Baltimore as my departure city. Is there a way to change it?

boswellnakia has the backdoor set up with MCO as her home airport so she gets all the MCO dings. In order for you to change home airport you would need to do it through the update registration link on the ding window. Of course then I think you would need to set up a new backdoor. I'm guessing the #s would be different.

Carolyn, you are right there are different installation ids for every time you register. I have registered multiple times for the same airport and got different ID each time. The second number is also different.

BTW, I'm a guy. Sorry to disapoint you. :-)

My humblest apologies. It's hard to tell in cyberspace and I should never make assumptions. Begging :worship: your forgiveness!

How far in advance does Southwest open reservations. I see currently accepting res thru June 9th. Flew SW to Orlando last September, cannot remember when I booked my flight from Pittsburgh. Going to WDW in Oct again this year, awaiting cheap flights!
