Waiting for a DING from Raleigh-Durham!

How far in advance does Southwest open reservations. I see currently accepting res thru June 9th. Flew SW to Orlando last September, cannot remember when I booked my flight from Pittsburgh. Going to WDW in Oct again this year, awaiting cheap flights!

According to the SW FAQ on flyertalk historically fares have been extended to late October in early May. link

Hoping for a MHT to orlando flight soon!

There was one on 1/26 for $44 to $49 through June 9th. I had $59 each way from Providence and was able to change it to $49 (not $44) for May 1 to May 4. I flew out of Manchester last Aug on a Sunday but in May we leave on a Monday and I didn't want to fight Boston traffic to get to Manchester.

Just a FYI, you CAN use the backdoor method for Dings on your MAC. You just have to physically type out the whole link that is given from the flyertalk post. Granted you have to download the Ding to another computer that is not MAC to get the "installerID" and "cksum" number. It worked for me, now I have backdoor ding for Indianapolis, Chicago, and Louisville!!!!

I am so happy, with the Indy fare, I get to sneak away with my wife for a surprise weekend!!!! I'm so happy. Now, If I can only keep it from my kids. They will be so mad if they know we went and didn't take them. Oh, being a parent is really hard.

Of course no ding fares avail for the time frame I want from Indy. From Chicago I can get a ding fare coming home, but not going down to Orlando. When I called SWA since I booked the original flight as a round trip, the whole flight would be cancelled and I would have to rebook at the current price for the trip down!! So it came out to saving no money!!!

It figures!!!
