Hiring a babysitter at WDW?

If money was not an issue, I'd do Kids Nite Out, but $21/hr plus a $10 transport fee is a little steep for a babysitter if we want to go out for a couple of hours to have dinner. Does anyone know of any sitters who come to the resorts to babysit that are more like the price of an average nanny (FL rates)?

I have used the website care.com to find caregivers around the country when traveling. I found a wonderful person in Florida that I used for 2 weeks last year and for about a week this past October. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post her info here: http://vacationsitterfl.com/

Her name is Victoria. Rates vary depending on total amount of time hired and duties expected but less expensive than Kids' Nite Out. Good luck!

How old are your kids? Have you looked into the kids clubs? I am not sure what they cost, but they get rave reviews.

I was just going to suggest the same thing. We've got a night booked for our kids at the one at AKL while the adults have dinner at Boma. I believe it's $15/hour/kid with a 2 hour minimum. So that's a minimum of $30 per kid. It does include food though, which would otherwise cost you about $5-$10 per kid.

We had a great experience with Kids Nite Out. We used them this past fall and I have nothing but awesome things to say. I felt totally comfortable leaving our then 15 month old with our sitter. When we came back from our evening, DD was asleep and the sitter was reading a book. I think they're worth every penny. I may use them again this next fall too. :)

We used Club Disney at the Poly... In our booklet was a coupon for a % off I think like 10 or 15?... It was wonderful he had a blast, they fed him so that took away from having to use a food credit & playing with other kids was a blast for him they had so much to do & gave them goodie bags to take home.
