Hi all

Just in the process of trawling through the various Hire Car companies & the best deal I can find for a Standard SUV is £421 for 21 days with easycar.

Total cost includes

Unlimited mileage

Third party liability insurance

Collision Damage Waiver
(Accident Damage and Theft Protection with an excess payable in the event of an accident)

Loss/Damage Waiver

"Collision Damage Waiver (""CDW"")

CDW (Maxi Waiver Saver) cover is included in the booking cost and guarantees that you have no liability for damage to or loss of the rental Vehicle, apart from New York where an excess of £56.00 applies."

Airport surcharges (if applicable)

Total cost excludes

Fuel
Post rental charges (if applicable)
Young drivers surcharge (please refer to the local terms as additional charges may apply) - N/A

Unfortunately it does not have the option to up grade to include a full tank of petrol, but reading between the lines it may be offered when I pick up the car.

Firstly do I need much other insurance cover?

Has anyone used easycar from MCO.

& lastly is this is a good deal

Going out April:cool1:
Thx everyone

Never used easycar, Just had a read looks like you pick the car up from Alamo, only company I had a problem with but many like them and prefer to others.
Have you checked USrentacar? they have had some good prices this year.

Wayneg

Thanks

Have just checked them out & the prices seem to be cheaper than easycar, rental still with Alamo

Works out at:

£417 for the Inclusive option (details below)

Insurance Type: Fully Inclusive
Includes: CDW, 3rd Pty Ins, EP, Sales & State Tax, Airport Fee & Unlimited Mileage.

£446 for Gold (details below)

Includes: Collision Damage Waiver, Extended Protection, Third Party Liability, Sales & State Tax, Airport Fees, Up to 3 Additional Drivers, Unlimited Mileage and a Tank of Fuel.

On the basis of the Insurances & the tank of petrol I think the Gold looks like a better option.

Hi, try floridacarhire.com - they offer Alamo/Dollar and fully inclusive options - they are usually the cheapest when we hire in Orlando

Thx

Just checked out floridacarhire & the cheapest there quoting me is £479.

So USrentacare still seems to be the cheapish at £446

There is no difference in the insurance, see here

You will probably have one additional driver as well, so you are paying £29 for a tank of fuel.
Not sure what it takes to fill one of these things up.
Lots of debate as to the need to have prepay fuel or not.

Personally I always find it easier to return a car full rather than empty. Im not brave enough to coast in on fumes like some. :)

That is so much fun, seeing how empty you can take it back. So many times I have free wheeled into the airport hoping it makes it.:rotfl2:
I have always paid for platinum/gold with Dollar/Airnet but others seem a lot cheaper this year so looking at all options.

In an SUV, you could be looking at $70-80 to fill it up with gas. We usually go for the fully inclusive one and then don't have to worry about stopping to fill up near the Airport.

Just wondering, have many people used usrentacar? They seem to be coming in much cheaper than the other prices I've been quoted. However, I wouldn't want to book with them, then get out there and find I've no car!

There's only one real answer then at £29 upfront. :thumbsup2

If you search usrentacar in the search box above it will come up with numerous threads. I posted in one(link below) April 2004 in the same thread was a post by the Managing Director. So people have been booking with them on here for at least 4 years. Personally I am using them for the 1st time this Easter as they are a lot cheaper than Airline Network this year who I always used but other people have used them for years.

We've used US-Rent-A-Car on 3 occasions. Excellent customer service and we have never had a problem. I recommend them without hesitation.

We have used usrentacar at least 2 or 3 times a year for the past 5 years. They are really good and always either the cheapest or almost.

They also have excellent customer service should you need to contact them.

Just reminded me of the many times we've done the same. One time I was determined not to have to stop despite the Grand Cherokee saying 0 miles range popping up way before the junction before the last toll plaza on the B Line.... we litterally had to let it accelerate on it's own tickover from the toll plaza for fear of it dying on us. Rolled into the car return with a smile though - A few $ saved for another trip.....
