Just thought I mentioned that I have LESS THEN 2 weeks now until I can check in online!!! Woo Hoo!!! I am getting so excited for this trip it is crazy!!! I think the surprise factor has something to do with it!!!

I have 8 days until online check in...

Not that I am excited and counting down or anything....

Our trip in feb. is the first time I booked through disney/airtran without using a TA. So I know I can expect ME tags and voucher and another voucher book from disney. Will I get anything from airtran?

Yes, you will get ME docs and Disney docs... Nothing from Airtran thou, just need your confirmation number you got when you booked in order to do your online check in 24hours in advance, at that point you will print your boarding passes

I so hope they go FAST too!!! You have no idea!

And everyone who is having a drink...please have one for me too! I'm "Disney depressed" right now because I should BE THERE right now! (When we changed our dates before, it was November 10-19 so I've been sad about it the last few days!) BUT it turns out I made a good choice because my husband actually isn't able to get away from work until at least March...so if we wouldn't have gone in June, we wouldn't have gone this year at all! So I guess I made the right choice!

Anyway, Reese, did you hear about the "bird incident" with that plane going from Philly to Pittsburgh??? I was watching the news while on DIS this morning so I figured I'd ask you if you heard about it! Crazy birds! I guess they are trying to say it "isn't confirmed" that it was a bird...but the news reporter said he had a source call him personally & say her friend/relative is a mechanic for the airlines & he's sitting there right now plucking feathers out of the engine! Yikes!

I am so excited for Thanksgiving since that's when you are telling Devon about the trip!!! I am seriously behind on your report so I'm going back to read right now...just wanted to say "congrats" since its not very long until you can do online check-in & then LEAVE FOR DISNEY!!!!!

Well, I went back to your report and it turns out that....I didn't miss anything! Now, whats up with that??? No WWoHP update???

Just kidding...I will forgive you because of the craaazy elections & I know you must miss spending time with Devon after these few months! I think its so funny how we all thought of you everytime we saw/heard a political advertisement!!!

I cannot wait until you surprise him!!! I think we are all anxious to hear all about how it turns out & how excited Devon will be!!! The Christmas card sounds like a great idea! Please take pics for all of us so we can see the look on his face when he opens that card!!! Oh, take pics at the airport too when Devon & his friend realize you guys are all going together!!! I am so excited for you!!!!

Also, very relieved that you got your Disney documents...that part always stresses me out! After reading about Toni's problem last trip & yours this trip, I'm going to be extra worried in the future! At least you both got it resolved...and I agree with Toni...no way I'd ever pay Disney to ship documents to me!

One more thing...I was at Target the other day & they had lots of Disney stuff there again! I think alot of it was too young for Devon, but they did have some markers & I got a desk planner for myself with Mickey on it! Just thought I would let you know, I always love shopping there right before my Disney trips!

I just thought...I shouldn't have mentioned the bird incident!!! Especially when you & so many people reading your report are FLYING soon! If it helps at all, they had an aviation guy on the news a few hours ago & he said this only happens when the birds migrate...so hopefully they are ALREADY south for the winter & there won't be anymore incidents!

PHILADELPHIA -- Officials from US Airways said a flight from Philadelphia had to turn around Thursday after a bird flew into the engine.

US Airways said the crew aboard Flight 739 opted to return to the Philadelphia Airport as a precaution.

There were 140 passengers on board.

Airport officials said the passengers were placed on a different plane and arrived in Pittsburgh at 7 p.m.

I went on a few local news websites & it all pretty much says the same thing. It seems like the newspaper articles are down-playing it and the local news stations are making it into a bigger deal than it actually was. Stuff like that completely freaks me out though!!! Flying is scary enough as it is, without birds adding to it (especially with the NY Hudson incident!!!) When I heard the passengers from the flight talk about what they heard, it was scary...but it sounds like the crew/flight attendants were excellent & dealt with it perfectly! Thank goodness for that!

Hey everyone, I just thought I share that exactly 3 weeks from this time I will have just arrived at MCO in Orlando!!! Woo Hoo!!!

I am so very excited for Dec 3rd to get here you have NO Idea, but then again maybe you all do since you are all in the same boat!!!

Anyway, I am sure hoping that the next few weeks FLY BY!!! Devon just started basketball last night, so I am sure between practices and games that will keep me on my toes, not to mention the fact that I still have so much to do to get ready for this trip!!! One being clean my house and decorate for Christmas, but thinking I should probably wait till AFTER Thanksgiving to decorate!

So what do I have going on this weekend??? Lets see here... Devon has b ball practice at 11a tomorrow and then I really want to head to the mall to do some last minute shopping for the trip and to grab a few more Christmas presents for people. Oh I also have to add the last bit of $$$$ to our Disney gift card!!! Sunday I think I am dedicating the ENTIRE day to cleaning my house!!! I also decided that I think instead of putting the summer clothes away and just taking them back out in a few weeks to pack for Disney, I might just throw it all in the suitcase now!!! What do ya think???

Sounds like you'll be pretty busy until your trip, especially this weekend. At least you'll be busy with fun stuff instead of work and it should make the time go by faster. I think it makes more sense to throw your summer clothes into a suitcase now then put them away.

I wouldn't worry about birds too much when flying. There are a ton of safeguards. They track flocks of birds using radar to monitor the risk of planes running into birds and there are people whose job it is to discourage birds from being around the airport and to know if there are a lot of birds around. In the rare case that a bird does fly into the engine, that engine is damaged but there are multiple engines, allowing the plane to come back around and land safely, as this one did.
