I have reserved a junior suite here, and was wondering has anyone stayed here recently? I will be traveling with 4 kids, will they like this hotel?thanks!
Hi FL neighbor I haven't stayed there, but wanted to mention that tripadvisor has 137 reviews of this hotel if you didn't see those yet - most are good (some rate it as an excellent hotel), but a few have complaints (scroll down when you get to the site to read the "traveler's reviews":
We stayed there over Christmas break (got a fantastic deal via Priceline) and really liked it. It's hard not to love a Hilton at a Motel 6 price, though. The rooms were comfortable, and it's right across the street from Downtown Disney.
We have stayed at the Hilton several times (family of five...2 adults and three teenagers) and thoroughly enjoy it. It does not have the young kid-focused theming that some are looking for, but it is a wonderful hotel. We categorize the facilities as similar to an on-site deluxe property at a moderate price. Some people get an even better price than that.
What we mean by that is that the hotel has interior hallways (all Disney moderate and value hotels have exterior hallways) and is geared to the business traveler. It has the amenities of a business/convention hotel, but we find the rooms to be quite comfortable. We stayed in a junior suite and a connecting room on our trip last August. The junior suite is just an oversized room with a sofa bed. It was great - but not a two room suite.
This really is our preferred hotel of choice due to the location to downtown and the amenities of a first class, upscale hotel. We have stayed on-site and at other hotels off-site, but will always choose the Hilton if we can. We do not use the hotel shuttle service as we like having our car at the parks. It is a very quick drive to any of the parks, and we can drive or walk to downtown Disney.
We normally stay at maybe a 2*, because we really only sleep there, but this time we decided to try something a little nicer. I chose this hotel so we could still get extra magic hours, but are there any other perks(disney-wise)?thanks for all your replies, some of the reviews weren't that great and I was getting worried!Does anyone know about the pool? how packed out it may get in mid-June?And how insulated(sound-wise) are the rooms? Our kids(2,6,7,9)are usually well behaved, but with that many people in one room some noise is unavoidable and I would hate to disturb anyone! Thanks again to everyone who answered!! Ya'll are great!
