hilton head unit refurbishment possibly?

hi everyone... are the villas at dvc hhi being refurbished in any particular order, recently, or at all? also wondering for sure if the disney visa rewards dollars can be used at the resort for tide me over, signals, broad creek mercantile, activities at the resort, etc? thx SO much. 30 days till a grand villa and counting

I don't think there's any refurbishing going on in the summer time -- except for necessary repairs. They usually close a complete building to spruce it up when occupancy is low.

Yes, you can use your Disney rewards dollars at the resort. We just charged stuff on our room cards and applied the rewards to the bill.

We just got back. Our room (1137 in Live Oak Lodge - a 1 BR) was in pretty good shape actually. I would like to see change-out of the sofa bed to the brand they have at SSR. They are much more comfortable than the ones at HHI, and they are easier to fold out and put away. We also found the mattress in the unit much less comfortable than we remember.

And what's the deal with all the little crabs running around? Never seen those before.

I never noticed those little crabs before until our trip last week. They provided a lot of entertainment for my kids when they found them in the pool, too.

Hey, we got home last week too from HHI!!

Those little crabbies were everywhere, even jumping in the pool, then jumping out again. We all thought they were so cool.
