Hi,
Myself, my 2 yo DD and my Mom, Dad and hopefully my DH (work permitting) are taking advantage of the $99 for 2br in HH the end of January. My parents are traveling from Canada and we would all like to visit Savannah so thought this was a great opportunity.
So, my question is, what is there to do with such a wide range of ages? We are planning Savannah for a day but what else is there? None of us like to golf...
Any advice or suggestions welcome.
Thank you.

There is a lot to do, depending on what you enjoy. Water related activities abound (although January may be too cool to enjoy many of them- thus the great rate). Canoeing, kayaking, crabbing, fishing, shrimping, Dolphin Tours, walks on the beach, shelling, tennis, shopping (there are lots of outlets and boutique shops nearby, biking (there are miles of paved bike trails at HH), dining (over 300 restaurants are nearby) and our favorite - relaxing. The resort recreation staff also has a nice offering of programs for all ages.

Have a great trip!

Our kids loved going 'in town' to Sea Pines and other sections of HHI. Habortown has a great light house and wonderful little shops, fab marina, super great play ground!

HHI is a great place to explore. HTH

Other than DVC, has anyone looked into any of the Marriott Vacation Club Resorts? We liked HHI so much when visiting the DVC resort there, that we took a tour of the under construction "Surf Watch" resort and purchased the same. We intend on staying at DVC/HHI this October.
Oreilly76,
The trolley tour in Savannah is a great way to understand the vast history of this city. You could go down to the river and watch the sea worthy cargo ships enter the Savannah River. Many areas to eat, relax, etc. The DVC resort on HHI has a nice beach house. There are also many public acess beaches. Tybee Island is a short drive from HHI.

Doc,

Congratulations! Your post in this thread has been banned on my computer by my McAfee Privacy Service. It said your post contained a sexually explicit word. I had to click on the details to see the word and over-ride it to read your post. The word is shrimping. LOL!

I had no idea that the word shrimping has another meaning than what you intended to mean in your post. And I am not really interested to find out that other meaning. LOL !! :D
