How many days would you plan to stay at Hilton Head?

Thanks

Our first trip to HH was in Oct 05 and we stayed from Sunday - Wednesday. So only two whole days. We really enjoyed it, soooo ....................

We're headed back in Sept 06 and we're staying from Sunday - Friday.

We both wanted more time to do the things we didn't do the first trip. And it is so relaxing and peaceful.

The rooms are really great. The have a wonderful porch with two rocking chairs and a picnic table. Could spend hours out there just chilling!

Hope you enjoy your stay.

Yup, that's what we're staying too-Sunday through Friday. Actually we're flying in Saturday nite, so we'll be checking in first thing Sunday morning. Our first trip was only 4 days, too short. Then six days, a little too long. But I really think the fact that it rained, was windy, and cold our whole trip made it seem a little too long. Five has been OK, but I wouldn't mind trying 6 again-then 7....

The rest of my life. :sunny:

My sentiments exactly!!! Maybe when I win the lottery and I can buy tons and tons of points. Or just buy a place there. :goodvibes

For one trip we stayed for 5 days in a 1BR... That seemed to be just right.. :thumbsup2

Last year, we stopped by for an overnight stay in a Studio on the way home from VB.. That was not nearly enough...

Thanks so much for the replies. We are thinking about staying 3-4 days on our way back from Disney next year. My son will be 7, do you think he will enjoy it?

If I had a marsh view room I would stay forever. We love sitting on the porch looking for dolphins!

It's hard to justify points stays for Friday's (2x's) and especially Saturdays (3x's). If you want to extend your trip, look at booking these for cash.

We usually check in on Sunday & out on Saturday/Sunday. So, a week.

But, one of these years, we're going to stay 2 full weeks. It's our favorite relaxation vacation spot and we could easily spend 2 weeks there and not get bored. :thumbsup2

For us to do that, though, we'd have to skip going a year and bank the points. The thought of not going is so unsettling, that we'll just stay on the one week a year plan.

Unless, we eventually add on more HH points. :teeth:

I'm staying five days because I don't want to pay the extra points for a Friday or Saturdayt night stay. My trip will be for six nights, though. I'm flying into Charleston. I'll spend the first day touring Charleston, get an inexpensive motel for that first night, and the head to Hilton Head in the morning.

We've done this a number of times. Charleston makes a nice change of pace.

We stay 5 nights, but it's not long enough. We leave right around the time I start to slow down. We stretch the trip a bit by staying nearby Sat night and arriving before noon on Sunday. (We've gotten our room right away both times -- 2BR.) We get settled, rent bikes and are at the beach by 2.

We don't stay Fri or Sat because of the points. I'm gonna call this week and check on the cash price for Fri night and maybe extend our stay one night.

We usually make short trips to HH, usually staying four nights and for us that's never enough. We would love to stay longer, but it doesn't always fit into our schedule. Someday, we'll stay there a full week and see if that's long enough (yeah, right!)
