Hi,

Like another thread I read recently our 13, soon to be 14 year old doesn't want to go to WDW again. Doesn't he realize how lucky he is?

Anyway thinking about going to HH mid May. My question is will there be enough for our teen to do? Will there be other teens for him to meet? Do you think we should go in June? Since our home resort is SSR I don't think we can get in at the 7 month window for June. I may be wrong but I thought maybe mid May might be easier.

Any help you experts can give me would be great! I'd be lost without you guys!

With a little luck, you might be able to swing a suite at HH during early June, though you might have to take a larger suite. My DW and I wanted a studio or 1BR for an anniversary trip the first week in June, and I was doing the ressies in January (6 months out). We had to take a 2BR as that's all they had available for three consecutive nights over the weekend. However, they were available inside the 7-month window. We wound up having to take DD4, anyway, so the 2BR worked out fine.

As for activities, I'd guess there would be more teens at HH in June than mid-May simply because most school districts aren't out until June anymore. However, there are plenty of options to keep your DS near-14 occupied from dolphin tours, to kayaking, to swimming in the pool and at the ocean, to biking, to nearby miniature golfing, to fishing, to crabbing, and many others. Regardless of the time, he will undoubtedly see other teens there. HH is more of a laid-back vacation destination than say WDW since there are no theme parks, so you wind up creating more of the action yourself--which can be a good thing. Good luck in your search! :earsboy:
