Hilton Head Fishing

At HH the first week of August. - Does anyone have info on fishing at Hilton Head Island. Curious about fishing at the resort, other locations on the island and if you can surf fish down by the beach house. We will probably not be doing a fishing charter this time. Have you been successful off of the peir at the resort?

We saw a lot of surf fishers last week in the evening at low tide. Didn't look like they were catching anything though. We talked to a man at the Disney pier who told us he caught a small shark off the pier there last week. He said he just snipped the line and let it go.
