Hey all! Just wanted to let folks who are going to Hilton Head now through mid-February that there is a DVC Gift Card offer; spend $75 on a Hilton Head Resort Shopping Card and get a $10 Dining Card. Follow the link here to purchase it:
https://disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/discounts-perks-offers/hilton-head/
However, read the fine print! The cards expire *45 days after purchase*!!! I'm making sure everyone sees this so you don't lose money like I just did. I saw this and decided to purchase one because we are planning to go in April, and I thought it would be good to get this in advance. Totally missed the fine print, and the actual purchase page does not list the expiration date anywhere: https://wdgiftcards.disney.com/Campaign/HHPREARRIVAL20/
(if you click on terms and conditions, it does not list the expiration date. There's a reference in there to disneyterms.com/hiltonheadbonusdining but it's not an active link. If you go to that URL, the 45 day expiration is there, but boy do they hide that!)
Sigh. I'm going to reach out to see if I can get a refund given it was not clear during the purchase process that it would expire (I'm used to gift cards not expiring), but I suspect they will point to the "non-refundable" clause and that the expiration date is disclosed even though they do their best to hide it from you.
