Thinking about spending Christmas at Hilton Head,
anyone ever do that? Do they decorate and have holiday events going on?

Haven't stayed there yet.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Although we did not stay a HHI for Christmas, we did spend one day there on our way to WDW in December of 2000.

As for the decorations, most were in and around the lodge. Very pretty but not the quantity that you would see at WDW. I do not recall any decorations around the individual building themselves.

Having been there only one day, we did not pay much attention to the resort's activities.

We have been there four 4 holiday seasons ; 3 for New Years and one Chrsitmas. The resort is festive and there are many decorations in the Murggies Den with a tree, etc. They have cookies and stories with Santa; We went to a live outdoor nativity play in Sea Pines (at the horse stable) and it was very well done and highly attended. Many other resorts also have decorations around. The HHI DVC has lots of activites including a southern snowball fight(with rolled up white socks), football on the beach etc. We cooked our own Chrsitmas ham in our villa so I don't know about getting christmas day dinner reservations. We love going at this time of year. The after x-mas sales at the outlets are a good way to spend the loot you got from santa!
