Hiya all.

As part of our trip in August we are having 5 days in NY and have provisionally booked this hotel.

Just wondering if any of my dis friends have seen it or stayed at it?

Got a great deal, so fingers crossed x

Stayed there a few years ago while in college with my family and loved it. My parents are Hilton honors members, so we got upgraded to a 1 bedroom. Awesome location, awesome rooms. Have a great time! I always wish we could stay there again when we go, but alas it was a one time treat!

does the doubletree include free breakfast?

if not, you should switch to the Hampton Inn Times Square North.

it's also in the hilton chain.

Good hotel, good location and it includes free breakfast as well as coffee/tea in the lobby at all times. (and cookies in the lobby in the afternoon and apples in the lobby all day).

the breakfast included hot eggs, hot cereal, cold cereal, fresh fruit (melon, honeydew, watermelon, pineapple, oranges, apples and bananas when we were there), muffins, bagels, various yogurts, etc.
they kept replenishing everything and there are lots of tables (no problem finding a place to sit down)..

we just stayed there at the end of october....
it was a one block walk from the hotel to the theatre where the book of mormon is playing..
that's why we booked that location, but i would stay there again....
it was a nice room, nice hotel, good service, good breakfast, good location, and free (very fast) wifi...
what more could you ask?

We stayed at this hotel about a year and a half ago when we were in town for a weekend visit to take in some shows. We loved it :cool1: The rooms are huge, well maintained and you can't beat the location.

Have a great trip! :thumbsup2

Stayed in it a good few times its a lovely hotel and rooms are big nice to have the living room also :). Loved that you only walk out of the hotel and you are right in Times Square it will be the first place I look to book when we go back to NYC :).

Not stayed but considered it - chose a nearby Hampton Inn instead - same chain, similar hotel, half the price. Breakfast was also included - or a packed breakfast if you didn't want to stay (muffin, cereal bar, fruit and a bottle of water - nicely done!). Consider both chains as they are very very similar. Have a look on tripadvisor and consider the ratings.

We stayed here a few years ago, you can't beat the location and we got a great deal too.
There was four of us so it worked out a better deal at this hotel instead of getting 2 rooms at another hotel, it's usually pretty pricey so if you can get a good deal it's worth it.

We stayed at the Westin times square last year and paid more than the double tree.
