Credit where credit is due, those forest window decals are a nice touch. Nice to see a little 'didn't have to do this but we did' effort.
NGL, I saw the headline shared externally and thought it was an "enhancement" to part of the resort before I read it and saw the window decals were disguising construction. Good point! To look this good it may be around awhileAlthough it does beg the question - just how long do they expect those to be there.![]()
We don't actually know but it does look like the scaffolding may be around longer since they changed the scrim over the windows to the window film with the tree decals. The section of the resort wing has had scaffolding since some time in July. The scaffolding against the main building segment is relatively new.So the scaffolding is likely to still be around for several months it seems??
Thank you for these updates! When did they change the carpeting in my favorite hallway?! I will miss the red.Fogged Forest Window Decals & More Roof Work at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort
It was announced in November of 2024, that the Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge would undergo refurbishment from mid-May 2025 to September 2025.
Although scaffolding and crew members are still present near the entrance to this section of the resort, work appears to be wrapping up.
On our recent visit, the crew looked to be focused mainly on the roof. You can see the wood is covered with plastic and painter’s tape to protect the surface.
In our last update, this sidewalk area had reopened for guest use, with green barriers and some equipment placed up against the building. With a small amount of scaffolding remaining, it looks like crew members have temporarily blocked the path again for guest safety.
Inside, the scrim on the windows has been replaced with fogged decals featuring forest trees, leaning into the wilderness theming of the resort. The exterior area is still closed off from guest access.
The new window clings expand across all of the windows, and this section of doors remains closed as well.
The terrace remains closed, with the majority of scaffolding and work left to complete. Several A-frame signs placed in front of the doors read, “Please Pardon Our Pixie Dust – This Area is Being Refurbished for Your Future Enjoyment.”
The scaffolding stretches to the top of the resort and can be seen from the interior. A crew member stood on one level, watching over the ongoing work.
That carpet was there two weeks ago, but I can’t remember if it was the muted tones when there earlier this year.Thank you for these updates! When did they change the carpeting in my favorite hallway?! I will miss the red.
I am so embarrassed! I was there in November 2024 and apparently I was too busy watching my granddaughter to notice the carpet had changed! (even after I took a picture?!)That carpet was there two weeks ago, but I can’t remember if it was the muted tones when there earlier this year.
That’s so much warmer, richer, and homey (2020 pic)!I am so embarrassed! I was there in November 2024 and apparently I was too busy watching my granddaughter to notice the carpet had changed! (even after I took a picture?!) View attachment 1011013
In my mind it will always look like this photo from 2020:

I agree with you but maintenance is required or the roof will leak. It has to be done sometime. WDW, and the WL team is very aware that guests don't enjoy viewing scaffolding. However December is 2 months away so they may well be done but we don't have a schedule.Of course it isn't, because we'll be at Disney, but I'd still rather the scaffolding not affect our water view room. (Just politely musing/ranting)
I spend a 1-2 hours reading on my balcony each morning before everyone else wakes up. Scaffolding isn't going to block my view but if I had my choice I'd rather there not be any. That's what they are working primarily on the resort side at this time. maintaining the roof sealing, and painting it, and exterior siding work. I don't see how the scaffolding is going to affect your water view, they are not hanging scrim panels around the scaffolding blocking your view or light.
May I ask how much time you plan to be in your room or on the balcony, this is WDW after all?

No your views, opinions, are preferences are valid and more than OK. I even agreed with you in my first sentence. I would rather not have to see it either. This isn't a big deal. I thought my post was clear on that but if not, sorry -- I can delete it if it isn't OK.
For 99% of the time the scaffolding does not block the view. Yes I see the pic you just posted but it is not a direct view off the balcony or even out of the Sliding door, and I would not want or like that view.I’m not one to be bothered by construction, but this would DEFINITELY affect my water view!! That’s terrible.

That picture looks to be from the main building on the 3rd floor walk area, and it is looking down directly at the Courtyard Side toward Roaring Fork QS, and not the direct view from a balcony or from a room.
