For the ease of getting to and from the parks which hotel would you choose? I normally do BWPPI or Tropicana because I like how quick I can get to the parks. But, I have Hilton points I want to use this trip.

General strategy is to arrive before opening. Stay until it gets too crazy busy. Head back to the hotel for a nap and head back at dinner and stay until closing.

Open to other Hilton suggestions if you have them. Thanks!

OK,do you plan to walk, or use the ART Shuttle system (or other shuttle if outside the city of Anaheim)?

Do you care for the Full Service (Aka the Anaheim Hilton), or the Limited service Hotels that offer less things (like room service, bell hop and valet), but then offer things like Free Breakfast, larger rooms, etc.

You mentioned two, there is also the DoubleTree Suites on Harbor near the convention center.

There are two Embassy Suites, both need shuttles, the Orange version is isolated, and I would want a rental car.

Another DoubleTree next to the Homewood Suites in Garden Grove off of Harbor (also near the Embassy Suites). Also in the area is the Hampton Inn. Also a Hilton Garden Inn.

So the two walkable ones are the Anaheim Hilton and the DoubleTree Convention Center location. The other options would require a shuttle to get to the park. (I don't recommend parking at a Theme Park for many reasons, including the fact that after you park, you have to board a shuttle to get to the park.....)

So which perks are impiortant to you? (What are you looking for in a Hotel?)

I stayed at the Homewood Suites Anaheim Convention Center in May and loved it. Free breakfast, free light dinner during the week, nice pool area, nice suites. It's right next to the Toy Story parking lot, so we walked over there and took the bus instead of walking the mile up Harbor to the parks. Worked really well for us. I would absolutely stay there again.

From Homewood Suites, you walk right into Toy Story Lot (Prob 1/4 mile max) and take the shuttle.

Totally agree with gatorlisa. DH and I stayed there in Nov and it was so convenient to walk to Toy Story, it was about a 5 min walk from the lobby to the shuttle line. We are staying there again in Feb. Another option that we've been happy with is the DoubleTree Suites, it's about a 10 min walk from the lobby to the Toy Story shuttle, depending on timing of the lights. We are using points for our Feb stay and it was less for the Homewood, if DoubleTree was less I would have chosen that.

Thanks! It sounds like both hotels have the option of walking to Toy Story and catching the shuttle.

I don't particularly care for the amenities when we are at DL...just the ease of getting into the parks and home again in the evening with tired feet.
