I realized this moring I am so over this election. I don't even care anymore who wins. I can't stand either candidate, I'll be afraid for our country no matter which one wins.

I think I'm just going to put my nose to the grindstone and focus on banking as much cash as I can between now and Jan. Because no matter which one wins, we going to be in trouble.

I did love Bill's speech though, I always love his speeches. But I was also kinda pissed at the crowd. What a bunch of freakin' hypocrites. They've spent the last 4 months dragging Bill through the mud, trying to paint him as a racist. But last night, they all act like he's the second coming. Hypocrites.

That's a good point. I'm hoping that it was just a vocal minority (with the press in there stirring things up) that actually jumped all over Bill. There's no question that he said some things that he shouldn't have but I believe that at least most of it was blown way out of proportion.

I'm personally still a bit upset that Hillary wasn't chosen as VP. I'm trying to move past that and I'm reasoning that she is better off but it's still maddening.

But with one more appointee, you'll have a right wing Supreme Court that will rewrite the country's laws.

Say goodbye to ALL your reproductive rights...not only abortion, but also birth control.

That's not a chance I'm willing to take.

McCain also brings the entire Republican lying machine with him...you'll be reinstalling Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, and all the other rest of the right wing machine.

Talking points every election for both parties: Dem's and Republicans. Cracks me up. 1) Bush isn't going to get away with classifying birth control as abortion 2) Roe vs Wade isn't going anywhere - regardless who's in the White House.

I think after her receiving 18 million votes, she should have been offered the VP slot. It's really an insult that she wasn't offered it. I have no feelings on Biden. He seems ok, but what about Obama's message of change. Biden doesn't respresent change.

It's using fear to sway voters. I'm trying to push the fear aside, just like I'm trying to push the fear aside that Obama is corrupt.

I have said it before and I will say it again. I really think that the right makes far more political hay with the idea of banning abortion than the reality. Which one of them is going to want to have to run against his vote to condemn women to death? Which of them will want to be responsible for deciding the penalties that will be imposed on women that have one anyway? Or the doctors that continue to provide them? They may be pro-lifers, but they are pragmatists as well.

And are we so weak (the pro-choice movement) that we cannot fight this? Maybe it is time we got up and made a woman's right to choose a little more stable than a Supreme Court Justice away from disappearing?

Or that people want Obama because of his 'Womans Rights" stance, yet he didnt even consider having Hillary (who got more votes then him) on the ticket.

In other words, judge people by their actions & Deeds, NOT BY THEIR WORDS.

I personally judge candidates in all these way. I look at policy too.

I'm not totally enthused at this point so the only left for me is the party and the beliefs. I've got to go with people who at least lean the way I do. :confused3

I just start off with EVERYTHING, EVERY CANDIDATE says is a lie! And then work up from there.

I have never ever NOT VOTED, and the thought of that kills me. But in reality, and has been proven, over & over again. YOUR VOTE DONT COUNT!!:headache:

But I will make my (useless) vote, for the lessor of the 2 evils.

I can't let fear about the supreme court sway me. Abortion is an issue I'd rather not get into. While I don't condem people who choose it, I have doubts on when pro lifers say live begins. I don't think birth control (pre-conception) will ever be an issue.

exactly, I will not let the fear about the supreme court sway me to voting for Obama.
Funny, Obama say not to let fear run your vote --- yet I see some OS always say "but what about the supreme court?" Sounds like they are trying to 'scare' us into voting for Obama.
Won't work!

Then don't complain when all the rights you take for granted are history. The plan to take away women't reproductive rights IS HAPPENING all over the country.

Hope you loved the Bush years. You'll get 4 more years just like them -- only worse -- with McCain.

Hi my fellow Hillary Supporters:grouphug:

Is it just me or is anyone else curious to who McCain picked for a VP? I heard on the news he has made his decision and will most likely announce it tomorrow.

Yes I am curious.

Dont see that ever happening....remember we are talking idiot BUSH....and besides that it would not pass due to all the trouble it would cause not.

I'm personally still a bit upset that Hillary wasn't chosen as VP. I'm trying to move past that and I'm reasoning that she is better off but it's still maddening.

So am I only because it would have made my decision to vote for him easier. But on the other hand I am glad the he did not. As for the country he needed her and Bill. To me that was his first mistake in his judgement for the country.

Not a chance...imagine the controversy that would stir up!

OOOKKK

Don't worry I won't be complaining, abortion "rights" is NOT on my high priority list

Once rights are taken away, it's hard to get them back.

Talk to an older women about how it was before Griswold v. Connecticut, when even married couples couldn't use birth control.

The plan is small cuts in accessibility, until it's all gone. First the emergency contraception, then the IUDs, then the birth control pills.

Who do YOU want in the White House? A person who will sign a bill saying it's A OK to not fill your birth control prescription?

Or a person who stands up for YOUR rights. Seems clear to me.

So who thinks that the way Obama will be coming out or should I say rising up is going to be a turnoff as if he is saying.... look at me,:worship: I am the almighty Obama ....I am hoping that it won't be as bad as they say :upsidedow

The person I want in the White House is someone who will keep me and my family SAFE from terriortist and other radical people who want us all dead!

Something I feel Obama knows NOTHING about!

This to ME is MORE important then birth control issues.

Sorry cant see it happening. I was a Labor and delivery Nurse for 22 years and if that were to be done we would have riots in the streets and protests every where. You need to come up with another reason besides that not to vote for McCain and reason to vote for Obama.

I refuse to watch any of the DNC tonight. I saw Hillary and Bill's speeches and that was all I was interested in.

Tonight I will watch ANYTHING but the love fest of Obama. I would rather watch the grass grow :thumbsup2
