Hillary Supporters unite part 2; no bashing please

Hillary's endorsement of Obama is for the good of the party. Its what party members do all the time.....

Some of the folks here - aren't "party" people......

I just realized today - while I always vote democratic - I'm not a member of the party per se.
I see less party members among Hillary supporters all the time. I think the independents seem to gravitate towards her or at least did.

They are doing to Michelle what they did to Hillary. I don't like it.
Actually, they're doing some of it to Bill too. I don't really like it either.

To me, a spouse is just a small part of a whole. I take note of what they're about and then move on. I just can't see that a tape like this necessarily means all that much. :confused3

Oh. Learn something new every day. Makes sense now. Thanks!

:thumbsup2 Just that the "legit" press will never tell you that!

Right - Obama was "paying" some of the supers for their endorsements early on.

Still is. There are STILL 84 uncommitted delagates.

Or WERE party people and went Independant!

The problem here is that the DNC is doing it too Bill!:headache:

The winner of the nomination and the DNC paying off the losers outstanding tabs has been around for decades. Please don't think that Hillary's endorsement comes with a price. She's a Democrat through and through and to think that the only reason she'll support our party's new standard bearer is because he's agreed to pay off her debts only serves to cheapen everything that Hillary stands for. Good God, I thought this was the Hillary Supporters thread?

She simply asked a question because she didn't understand how it worked. I didn't know that was done either.

This question might have been asked previously if it has I appologize.

How many Hillary supporters that are NOT going to vote for BO would change their minds if she was the VP?

I'm confilcted in this area to be honest. I really do not like BO and the way he ran his campaign. I hate the Main Stream Media for their extremely biased coverage of BO. I have never been so angry with the DNC and the Democratic leaders before. Dean, Pelosi, Kennedy, Kerry etc.

What is everyone else's opinions?

I don't think a BO/HC would be a good idea at this point. Of course, at the beginning of the primaries I would have been for that - but not with how things played out.

His campaign has falsley accused the Clintons of being racist, but he'd be willing to put her on his ticket?

I think the hate went too personal this election for them to be on a joint ticket.

Thanks, Dolce27! :goodvibes

I like your sig. ;)

I believe the tape to be true; I've learned of too many specific details of it. The Obama campaign has not denied the rumors of the tape; they've already begun spinning it.

I'm starting to think it might be true as well. If it is I suspect we won't see it or hear it till Oct. And Obama's "denial" of the tape wasn't really an unequivocal NO! was it?

They are doing to Michelle what they did to Hillary. I don't like it.
I agree with you so far. I don't want to see her go through what Hillary or Teresa Heinz went through, being attacked for being strong independent women. However if this tape is true? Then that's another story.

Purrrrfecta - the only comment I'm going to make on your post is
A) I've hated Obama for a long time and it has nothing to do with him winning.

B) You are completely wrong that it was the Clintons that initially brought race into the primary campaign. It was Obama's campaign that circulated memo's to the press pushing the race issue. And OBAMA has admitted it in an interview.

Bill's comments were nothing more then an innocuous comment comparing two candidates whose records he was familiar with. It was Obama's camp that turned it into some sort of racial comment.

C) "WE" ?? honestly Purrrrfecta nothing in any of the posts you've posted in this thread make me think you've been a Clinton supporter ever.

I'm starting to feel the same way. I'm so disgusted by their handling of this primary. I'll most likely go independent after this is wrapped up. For now just count me a P.U.M.A.
As for the DNC being idiots....the OS see it differently...after all the DNC was fair to him...so they have no gripes with the DNC....

and Howard Dean and Pelosi both scare me....could you see Pelosi as VP...that is not just scary but very funny:rotfl:
Hey it's not just the OS. But Obama too - did you catch the article I posted about Obama deciding not to replace Dean as party chair? Normally the nominee gets to replace the party chair with their own people. Apparently Obama feels like Dean is already one of "his people"

I am also conflicted here. Hillary has said in the past that Barrack isn't qualified. I can't imagine how she could change her tone now.

My response to you-

A. So what does it have to do with?

B. No I am not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you think they Clintons did not bring race into the picture you are not correctly looking into this.

C. As a registered Republican I had to make the decision to change my party. My decision on who gets into office (Clinton or Obama) at this point has nothing to do with my "love" for one candidate or the other. Read my other posts. I let you know I knew nothing of Obama. I am close friends with a few people on Clinton's campaign, and I know first hand that what I am saying is correct. This is where my anger lies. I want a Dem to win. I can not take his Coporate control being the main focus of our country economic decline. We need a balance, and we need this to happen fast. When I see things like hype of a vaccine being promoted by using fear as vehicle to promote it (flu vaccine,) and then I find out that Rumsfeld is the chairman of the board of that company I know things have to change. When I learn an oil rig is named after Condi Rice, and I am paying $4 a gallon for gas I know things have to change.

So it is no about being a Hilllary Supporter or not. Like I said there was no one else who could touch her until I realized what she was doing to win. and don't come out to say my friends are really pro Obama or some type of remark. Not true. They are VERY DISAPPOINTED that this has happened. I want to see his country reverse the party control for a while.
If Hillary were my close friend I would have said the same thing I saying now. I know too much, and what I know I am not pleased with. So don't accuse me of being an anti HS until you ask.

Connie

Her speach was great. She is an amazing woman. If she does get picked for VP, I will be torn. I don't want to vote for Obama, but she is inpressive.

I have to run -- but I wanted to say - I was NEVER MORE PROUD OF HER than I was today.

I believe that because of her - it will be so much easier for the next woman candidate to run.

I am now considering voting for Obama - even if she is not chosen for VP. Because she asked me to...... ;)

Today's speech filled me with pride, and affirmed my choice to support her back in January......

I kind of agree BUT they could do wonders for party unity if they could effectively put it all behind them. They could blame it all on campaign rhetoric, the heat of the moment, sunspots ;) or something. They need to address the bitterness anyway or else Hillary's endorsement will ring hollow.

Purrrrfecta, I do believe that the Hillary campaign made some grievous errors. I believe that they did most of the things they did in the belief that it was strategic and would help the campaign. Some of it backfired. That's all water under the bridge now and it's time to move forward.

Another thing, if I had a nickel for every person who knew an insider who knew what REALLY happened in all of the campaigns, I'd be a mighty rich person. I'm not saying that you don't know people but usually there's people's truth and then there's the real truth from my experience. No one ever gets to see the whole picture.

They could just do the enemy of my enemy theme with McCain being the common enemy.

I would love to see them both on the ticket and shatter two glass ceilings at once.

I hope that her speech today smoothed some ruffled feathers.

Did you hear her part of the speech where she said she'd like to think that glass ceiling had about 18 million cracks? I thought that was excellent imagery there.
