Yet another article that I though was interesting, particularly this:

The West Virginia results were as across-the-board as you can get. She won 57-34 among men and 70-24 among women. She won 64-25 among voters who attend church more than once a week and 64-34 among voters who never go to church. She won 69-24 among voters without a college degree and 54-39 among voters with a degree. She won 69-25 among voters who make less than $50,000 a year and 58-34 among voters who make more than that. She won 65-28 among voters who think the economy is the most important issue, 57-37 among voters who think the war in Iraq is the most important issue, and 68-23 among voters who think health care is the most important issue. She won 67-26 among white voters. (We don’t know the breakdown among black voters, because they were too few in number — West Virginia is 95 percent white — for exit pollsters to calculate, although results in other states suggest that blacks probably voted 90-plus percent for Obama.) She won 67-25 among voters who have a union member in their household and 63-31 among voters who don’t. She won 56-38 among voters under 30 years old, 63-27 among voters between 30 and 44 years old, 65-27 among voters between 45 and 59 years old, and 68-28 among voters 60 and older. Among all voters, 70 percent want the campaign to continue, against just 24 percent who want it to end as soon as possible.

I agree, Edwards may be a good choice for VP. He did pretty good in a state that Obama lost big in. It really sounds like a no Brainer.-It still wouldn't get my vote.
I can't see Hillary getting the VP offer. I can't imagine Hillary (with Bill at her side) taking a backseat to Obama(with Michelle at his side).

Obama has effectivly waived the "time for change flag". But that is all it is, flag waving. He doesn't have the experience to run the county. Our country could get a lot worse.

was watching NBC this morning and heard this about WV: "Obama discounted the State." Interesting wording.

Yeah that will get him elected in Nov!

BTW...since The Rev story broke, Obama has only won 1 state!
Just sayin!:rolleyes1

I like your optimism but I do not quite share it. The problem IMO was Indiana. Had Hillary won by a larger margin, we would be in a completely different situation right now. I still think she has a chance if Oregon is close and Kentucky and Puerto Rico are landslides for her, but it is much harder now.

It will be up to the SDs (as it always was), but it will be hard to overcome the perception of Obama's inevitability. This looks like it's going to the convention and I am glad.

Analysis: Clinton crushes Obama across the board

(I like 'crushes")

After enduring a week of political obituaries, Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign proved Tuesday that it still has some life.

Clinton, as expected, trounced Democratic front-runner Sen. Barack Obama in the West Virginia primary. In the process, she underscored Obama's weakness with blue-collar, working-class white voters -- a segment of the electorate that may prove pivotal in November.

Buoyed by her landslide margin, Clinton vowed to continue what has become a longshot campaign, telling supporters at a Charleston rally that she is "more determined than ever to carry on this campaign until everyone has had a chance to make their voices heard."

Clinton's victory in West Virginia was decisive. She won men and women. She carried a majority of voters in every age group. She captured liberals, moderates, and conservatives. She took a majority in every income bracket.

What is interesting is that YET again, the media isnt mentioning that She has won all but one closed primary. Proving she is the TRUE Democratic nominee. This is something the SD's are suppose to heavily consider.

IT AINT OVER!:thumbsup2

Who knows really?:confused3 We can all just speculate.

But the fact that their are 200 SD's who are remaining silent STILL...and that most of them are NOT elected officials...without a contitiuency to support...or even remotely in need a $ for their elections...is ALL good news for Clinton.

Problem is - Edwards is quoted as saying he is not interested in the VP spot. I read this yesterday - though I forget where.......

To tell ya the truth, I am a bit peeved at Edwards, for the following reasons.

1) He PROMISED to stay in the race to the end, and booked out (for no known reason to his supporters) before Super Tuesday
2) He wouldnt back either candidate during NC primaries
3) he keeps going on TV to say nothing!:confused3

What really gets me is all the politians who jumped on the Obama bandwagon. My guess is that they want their names associated with change in Washington. I hope they all get voted out next election. Now that will be real change!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That has more to do with the DNC leaders for some reason wanting to change the dynamics of the party!

Also....I want to mention. Remember that in the GE its WINNER TAKE ALL for each state. No prorated delegates then. This is also a HUGE plus for Clinton!

I better get used to the term President McCain.

The case for Hillary seems clear. We will have to wait on what those super delagates do. The media is backing Obama, and the media put out that there will be an uproar if Hillary is choosen as the Dem canidate.

If the SDs steal the nomination, the Dems would think that Chicago '68 was a piece of cake.

I agree if IN had been a good win for her it would have been a different issue even though Obama would have won NC as he did. No one was watching what he was doing but what the outcome of what Hillary we getting.

I dont feel that there will be a difference for Hillary winning big or not. They will give it ti Obama because if they dont there would be hell to pay. If she does show she gets the popular vote that still wont matter. The delegates are what matters in this race.

Not even who has won more states matters....If I was an OS at this point and they were to take it away from him today I would be really pissed. Even if I felt that he had less chance to win the Election he still has more delegates even though he has also not made it to the magic number.

Before In and NC was a different story. However if she wins all the rest of the states than there is a story to tell. Will be an interesting showdown and if she looses and does not get the VP than we will see her again in 2012...just as one of the new DCL brings in one of there new ships :thumbsup2 see that's not that far away:goodvibes

So true and by all rights. At this point if the tables were turned and they wanted to give it to Obama with Hillary being in the same situation we would get pissed. One thing that I would have never done however that the OS have is start yelling to get out months and months ago....that is way uncalled for and not fair play.

:scared1: Are you actually threatening riots if you do not get your way? :sad2: I am disgusted. I guess in your view killing people and burning cars is an appropriate means of political expression. :sad2:

WOW have no dought that the OS would riot or close to it....funny...the Hillary supporters would not do that popcorn::

There are things worse then Hillary getting the nomination, like burning and looting your nieghborhood!

I guess Obama supporters have a lot more in common with Rev Wright than I thought.

I am republican who will be voting for Hilary if she wins the nomination. It is not that I do not like John McCain but do not feel comfortable voting for him. She definitely won me over with her Factor interview and I found her to be honest and sincere. Maybe she has me fooled but I just feel drawn to her and something is telling me that she would be good for our country. I feel that she is going to stay tough on American security and I liked her comments on dealing with Iran if necessary. I do not feel that way about Obama and will not vote for him if he is the nominee. In the beginning I felt the complete opposite but something about him does settle right with me. He has been in bed with way to many anti Americans and I do not trust him. Is there any hope she can pull this off?

Yeah, that's exactly what Bimshire meant. :lmao:
