I'm sure I know which one should be given the top slot--just that people of influence should get together and start talking about it.

When asked today, his response was..........nutin!

OK, I don't think Obama's team is ready to consider offering Hillary the VP slot either. Not yet.

We dont get to witness any of the "Fun" stuff!:sad2: ;)

Hey, the candidates had a chance to win it--it looks like they both may have blown it. Ok, so if they can't get a winning majority, then folks are gonna have to get into a room and start talking through a solution.

No matter which way the ticket came out of that room--I'd run to support it. Particularly against four years of "Bush-Lite".

I'm a big Obama supporter, but let me say for the record that they need to get over themselves.

They might just find that Hillary's supporters aren't all ready to jump on the Obama bandwagon either. I think that this situation has to be handled carefully.

I really dont think it will happen at all. I dont know who Obama will pick for a VP (if needed :lmao: ) but I would put $ down on Hillary going with Wesley Clark!:thumbsup2

Hillary will need to pick up the constituencies that Obama was strong in -- I don't see Clark helping.

Latest delegate count from the NY times show Barak ahead by 105.

See, I have a problem with that. Just this morning, she was willing to consider him........

The VP position can be made into what one wants to make it.......

I've said before - Hillary might take VP if offered - she'd be the FIRST WOMAN VP....... She could also hold a cabinet position - let's say Health & Human Services - they can agree - they'll try to push her health plan - his economy plan - whatever.

He would be the FIRST African American VP. Similarly - he could hold an important cabinet position........

Its called COMPROMISE!!!! And party unity.

What bothered me most about some Obama supporters was how they summarily throw away Hillary like she was an unimportant gnat.......

I think they are..If the deal was, you get to be the nominee she gets to be the VP, I bet he would jump on it..

Exactly. Tim Russert was saying on Imus today (paraphrasing)

Obama's supporters - Blacks, Affluent Liberals, Young, Students - would possibly stay home if Clinton were the nominee

Clinton's supporters - White Women, Seniors, Blue Collar workers, Latinos - would possibly vote for McCain if Obama were the nominee

Each candidate has to be perceived as treated fairly in order for the supporters to follow.

Hillary might suck it up for the party - her supporters may not. Same for Obama.

I need to hear compromising from both sides soon!!!! ;)

Yes/ I don't think the candidates control their supporters at all.

I get the impression that they mean both. However he's certainly not uniting the party, at least not yet.

I wish that they could work out a deal where they could be on a ticket together. I don't think that either would want to be VP though.

What a muddle.

This has been one of my qualms with Barak candidacy. He he saying he will 'Unite the Nation". It sounds good, but I say the Nation is NOT divided. Congress is.

.

I asked my husband tonight & he thought the same thing. I did not think the nation was divided. The only way Congress will not be divided is if the Democrats are voted in along with a Democrat president. The election 2 years ago got rid of a lot of Republicans. The remaining ones that were not up for reelections hopefully will go in NOV. Then I hope things will get done.

I signed up today to work on Hillary Campaign in PA:thumbsup2 I also registered my DH as a Democrat for the first time in his life so he can vote for her in April.

Awesome!!!!!! Thanks for being a foot soldier for us!!!! And thank DH too!

So predictions please...how big will Hillary win PA?

I agree completely. It does us no good if one of them "wins" the primary, but then tanks the general election.

That is my BIGGEST fear.

I can actually picture McCain winning..... (don't fret - I am a major pessimist!)

But - I can see or fear the election slipping away from us - I just picture those McCain\Obama debates....... Hillary is such a better debater..... ;)

The press will not go easy on Obama or McCain then........
