Welp - Hillary got another $50.00 from me - because she is giving it her all.

:thumbsup2 I gave...then she came back today for more!:lmao: :lmao:

This is from the hometown paper who've been following Obama for years. It isn't going to go away, and the questions are going to get harder if he gets the nomination. He isn't going to get a 'free pass' by people who want the WH cleaned up. Pointing out HC hasn't released her taxes (totally legal) has nothing to do with him not answering questions about his relationship with someone on trial for charges of peddling political favors.

I will read this article later. There is smoething VERY fishy there. BTW Rezcos trial starts on Monday! Imagine the press if he was related to Hillary or McCain....Nothing in the papers or web today about this trial:rolleyes1

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Besides Jimmy Stewart, Jack is my favorite actor!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

So if Obama ends up winning the nomination, how many of you will support him? I just ask because there seems to be quite an anti-Obama attitude here whereas some Democrats say they don’t really care which one wins.

:scared1: SAY WHAAAAAAAA?????

Honestly, at first I said I would vote for him in Nov. Now I am not so sure. I will wait till Nov. to decide.

I believe that I will vote for Obama. I'm not as enthused as some people but I certainly like him and considering the alternative....

New Hillary Endorsement

3/1/2008
General Henry Hugh Shelton Endorses

Senator Clinton today is proud to announce that General Henry Hugh Shelton has endorsed her to be the Nation’s next Commander-in-Chief

One of our nation’s top military figures, General Shelton served two terms as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Presidents Clinton and George W. Bush.

In announcing his endorsement, General Shelton said, "I’ve been with Senator Clinton when she has been with our military men and women. I know from those experiences that she understands the demands and sacrifice of military life. I am confident she will always put the readiness and well being of our troops first. She is ready to be Commander-in-Chief."

General Shelton joins General John Shalikashvili as the second former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to have endorsed Senator Clinton. General Shelton is the fourth flag officer to endorse Senator Clinton this week.

The first Green Beret to serve as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Shelton served our Nation with distinction over a career that spanned 38 years. General Shelton served two tours of duty in Vietnam, and was awarded a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. He was assistant commander of the 101st Airborne Division during Operation Desert Storm in Iraq, and later commanded the 82nd Airborne Division. Prior to serving as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, General Shelton commanded U.S. Special Operations Forces. He served as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the nation’s highest ranking military office, from 1997-2001.

General Shelton joins a distinguished group of 28 retired flag officers who have endorsed Senator Clinton to be our nation’s next Commander-in-Chief. In addition, more than 2,000 veterans and military retirees are members of Senator Clinton's national and state veterans’ steering committees.

"I am so proud to have the endorsement of General Shelton. He has spent his career commanding our country’s elite military units. He commanded at the highest level of our nation’s armed forces, while always remaining dedicated to the effectiveness of their combat capabilities and the well-being of their families."

Is there somewhere on the internet that I can watch the new Obama look alike ad? I haven't seen it yet and I'm not much of a tv watcher.

Thanks, MP. I like to read the political threads, but am not up to date enough to participate...seems like I am always a day or two late!

It was fun seeing Hillary last night. Saw Bill a couple of weeks ago. The closest the Obama campaign has come to SE Ohio was Michelle in Athens today. I think the fact that they are paying attention to our corner of the state will help the Hillary campaign.

It's helping her with West Virginia, too!
When she spoke in Belpre she stayed at the Blennerhasset (I work downtown) and a lot of the people I work with were very pleased she patronized a local hotel like that, even though it was in West Virginia.

Go, Hilary!:yay:

OK.. this 'Obama didn't vote for the war' thing is ticking me off royally!
First off, wasn’t 2004 when Obama was elected into the senate and our US senate voted to go to war in 2002 or am I way off here? If that’s the case – of course he didn’t vote to go to war – he wasn’t in a political position to do so.

Second, let’s go back in time to 2002, not long after 9/11, and in hindsight we now know that the Bush Administration was full of <insert word of your choice here> for its reasons to go to war … but that’s in hindsight. The war, for the most part, was a very popular decision when it first began. Saddam was harboring Al Qaeda… Saddam had tons of weapons of mass destruction… Saddam was a serious threat to the US… everyone bought the Bush Administration lies. Shoot, at the church I attended one Sunday they paraded the US flag and played the Star Spangle Banner – everyone was all pro-war. (in general) Had Hillary not voted to go to war, when Bush presented what looked to be a justifiable reason to do so to the senate, then she, especially being the Senator of New York – the state that suffered the most from the 9/11 attacks, would have not been looked upon favorably for doing so.

So, what am I not understanding? What out of that do I have wrong that has so many people upset that Hillary voted to go to war when in 2002 it looked as if we had cause to go to war? Why is Obama so proud that he didn’t vote to go to war when he wasn’t even in the senate to vote on it?

You wrote exactly what I have been feeling and didn't know how to word it. I wholeheartedly agree with you.

I feel Obama using his "I didn't vote for the war" line is crap, he didn't have a chance to vote in the war!!! I just don't get why more people in his camp are not seeing this.
I hear sooooo many people say they like Obama better because he didn't vote for the war! What???? He wasn't in the Senate! He didn't have a say.

And yes, I am opposed of the war NOW, but I will be honest and back in 2002I did agree with it. I fell into the Bush lies plus it was so close to 9/11, that those fears were still alive and very, very real. It is true most Americans did think we were doing the right thing by going to war, even if they won't admit it now.

If Obama was in the Senate back in 2002, I have a hard time to really believe he would have gone against the majority of American people and voted against the war.

It's SOOOOO easy to say "Well I would have done this" when you were NOT in those shoes. At least Hillary is admitting her mistake ;)
Just like I know now it was a mistake to go to war.

Thank you, I'm glad that some of you feel the same as I do and that it’s not an insane question to be asking yourself.

I'm honestly beginning to feel invisible. I did post the same question (about the war vote) over on the Obama thread - and I told them, like I'm saying now, I wasn't posting to cause trouble. I'm honestly trying to see in Obama what so many others are because if it does come down to Obama and McCain - I may vote McCain (I'm actually a Republican but I don't want a continuation of the Bush years)

So, the war vote question is one (of many) questions I would like answered by Obama supporters and I posted early this morning and thus far have been completely ignored. Am I being ignored because they think I’m trying to stir up trouble or do the ones viewing the thread today honestly not have a response since it’s a valid point? :confused3

They sure did ignore you! Most (and I don't mean only the DIS supporters) Obama supporters now are obsessed with defeating Clinton - that they aren't looking toward the general where the Republican party will skewer him over his lack of national security experience.

You should read the venom that is written about Hillary all over the traditionally democratic and liberal sites ........

Its really making me think twice about supporting Obama if he gets the nomination........

I am seriously considering McCain (OMG - I never thought I'd say that!)

Because Obama is allowing this sometmes hatred to be spread .............

I'll never vote for McCain in a million years. But my level of disgust with everything Obama has reached the point where I'm toying with the idea of not voting for anyone.

I would love to be completely wrong and Obama will turn out to be the greatest president ever. But I don't think he'll even get that far.
