Stop beating up on us! I've had eight years of pot shots because of Bush. No need to pick on us for an archaic, little used system. Seriously, have you ever seen a copy of the Texas Constitution? It is a mess. Many things in this state are a mess...look who we elected for Governor.

And yes...you could vote for one person in the primary and then caucus for the other.

Sorry. :teeth: For what it's worth, I can sympathize. As a West Virginian, I'm surrounded by some of the most socially conservative people in the country (it used to be a blue state, but only because of the unions).

Still...you did inflict Dubya on us. I'm not sure there's any forgiving that. ;)

I can proudly say that I NEVER voted for W...and I'll never forgive him or Rove for playing the alcoholic card on Ann Richards. But yes, Texas gave you W and heed my warning: avoid Rick Perry at all costs. Governor Goodhair makes W look like a genius.:scared1:

And I have no idea why we have both a primary and a caucus. The vast majority of Texans have never had to caucus.

Sorry...meant "you" as a Texan, not "you" personally. :teeth:

They just called me to come talk to Hillary tomorrow about the economy. Apparently the Ohio Party gave them our names. We can't go. bummah!

Rick Perry is a nightmare and the sad thing is he apparently wants to get into higher office someday just like his predecessor. If he succeeds just wait until he tolls ALL the highways everywhere. :sad2:

I don't understand Texas but then that's nothing new. :confused3

I moved to TX over 25 years ago from California. Texas has a lot of weird ways. It seems we have stacks of constitutional amendments every year. I don't know why they don't just write a new state constitution :confused3 There must be very little of the original left by now anyway, with all the amendments.

Unfortunately, and if worse comes to worse, just remember, you've been warned about Perry...so don't blame us! :sad2: Of course, he's out of state promoting his new book about the Boy Scouts right now, not that we miss him. Interesting that he had enough free time as a current Governor to write a book.

I don't think Obama is going over as well as Hillary on the issue of immigration.

I really love her.

I do like that most of their barbs are at Bush.

Tell 2 friends, and they'll tell 2 friends - and so on, and so on.....

Remember that commercial? Or am I showing my age? ;)

Hillary is a much better debater than Obama, but you have to admit, he can give one rousing speech.

Yes he does give a good speech. But when it gets down to the nitty gritty I get a lot more satisfaction from Hillary. She makes more sense to me.

Me too. I kinda get lost in his rhetoric.

My eyes start to glaze over after a little while. I would much rather see Hillary debating McCain - I truly think she'll chew him up and spit him out. Obama? Not so sure.

BTW Happy B-day Punkin! :cheer2:

Thank you - it was yesterday.

I'm sorry I always forget to look up there!

So what did everyone think? I really liked how Hillary did. Very strong. I was watching the "people meter" on CNN and especially on her last speech she seemed to score much higher the B.O. Maybe just maybe she'll pull off Texas.

gotta say, so do I!

Saying the same thing, with the same words, in the same tone!

However did anybody catch his "W" moment!:lmao: He mispronounced " Taliban"! He said "Tall-E-Ban" :lmao:
It stopped me for a second to figure out who he was talking about!

Just wanted to stop in and congratulate you guys for Hillary's performance. I made the prediction that I thought she would go very negative, and other than one brief moment - and they both had them - she definitely stuck to the high road, and you should all be proud of her performance.

Looking forward to getting into the general, 'cause I thought BOTH of them pretty well showed why they'd make MUCH better presidents than Bush Jr. Jr. :teeth:

Good luck down the road and let's take back the White House for the good guys!

Thank you.

I really wish they could come together and form an invincable ticket - Clinton\Obama - Obama\Clinton

A lot of people attribute sinister egotistical (win at all costs) motives to her - but I honestly think she wants what she feels is best for the country.

Oh well - it will all play itself out ........

I'm trying to step back and just watch - I've already voted - there's nothing I can do now (just too busy at work) to change the outcome.

Sending her positive vibes for the upcoming elections........

Thank you. That was a really nice post!

I got an e-mail asking me to type a note to the delegates in the area....this is what I typed...

Click here to send a note to local automatic delegates telling them why you support Hillary, and why you think she will be the best leader for our party and our nation.

I support Hillary because she in my opinion has proven (to me) that she can accomplish what ever she sets her sites on. She has passion, cares about our country, and wants to make a "Change" in where this country is now and the direction it is heading. My vote has nothing to do with her being a woman but has to do with her issues and experience. As I tell everyone(as in my friends) that are divided due to the press and the polls stating that Hillary has no chance...if in your heart that is who YOU CHOOSE (as in Hillary) than don't let anyone sway you to vote against your heart. This is a time in History that you don't want to look back and say to yourself " why did I not vote my heart instead of voting out of fear of loosing. So I will say the same thing to you with a smile attached....If Hillary is your choice don't let the press scare you into voting against your heart. I wish you luck and faith and stand behind you at what ever decision you make. As a Hillary supporter I can only hope that your heart lies with her. Robin
