The ridiculous thing is that in Texas she could win the popular vote but not win the delegates. It's a stupid system.

That does seem silly!

I hope the DNC re-evaluates this after its all over......

I will be VERY disappointed if the DNC doesn't do just that. Between the King and Queen of the Prom (IA and NH), disenfranchised voters (FL and MI) and super delegates the whole thing stinks. I sincerely hope that the selfless act of FL and MI throwing themselves on the sword will change the way that things are done.

They SHOULD get rid of Caucuses all together. So ridiculous!

I don't know, I kind of like the idea of a caucus. I wish I could participate in one, especially in this election. It seems exciting to stand up for your candidate!

But I agree - this whole superdelegate, MI/FL DNC decision is a MESS - they were stupid to discount their votes completely, and it seems silly to now go against their decision that all the candidates agreed to, as late as 12/30 for HRC.

Cauces are differrent in each state.

In Texas, They vote in the am, then caucus at night!:confused3 :confused3

yeah, TX is weird. I don't get it at all! I like the idea that the Democrats allocate delegates based on districts, but TX is just plain weird.

Any predictions for tonights debate?

Just heard on CNN that she needs Obama to make a HUGE mistake. Because when he said "You likeable enough" before the NH primaries....people felt sorry for her & voted for her! Thats why she won the NH primary :furious:

There is definately a double standard going on here. Whenever she won a primary, it was because she either 'cried" or Obama wasnt nice to her.:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Will the debate be televised on line anywhere? I won't be able to watch it on TV.

I think you can watch the debate on cnn.com.

The Texas two step has never been an issue before only because the nominees have been decided long before we got to vote here. Usually, only the die-hards show up for the precinct caucuses. Polls will close at 7 pm and caucuses will start at 7:15.

Ok, I know I said I'd stay away, but since I'm agreeing with you, I didn't think anyone would mind too much. ;)

That's not even the worst part (although, it is pretty bad). The worst part is that you can vote in the primary...and then go and vote in the caucus!!!. They care so much about the vote, they get to do it twice!

I feel like she should be running around saying like Rodney Dangerfield..."I get no respect I tell ya, no respect" :rotfl:

there is a double standard and no matter what she does she can't seem to get a break. If she smiles it's because she is faking it, cries its not real, says something about Obama ...she is playing bad politics,

It's always something as as a woman I feel she is being womanized.

she needs to do something tonight. She needs to bring herself up or him down to her playing field. she cant be nasty because it will back fire yet she cant be to civil because she will not make any ground that way...so whats a Hillary to do??????

I don't get that either...kinda seems wrong or something....cant pin point it. What if you vote at the primary and than change your mind can you than go and vote at the caucus and change your vote?????

I dunno...I'm thinking they vote during the day, and then they use the "caucus" as an excuse to get together that night for some beer and BBQ. :rotfl:

:lmao: You know...I didn't even think of that. :teeth: I guess if you were conflicted on which one you wanted to vote for, that'd be one way to express it. :confused3

Good point. :teeth:

Stop beating up on us! I've had eight years of pot shots because of Bush. No need to pick on us for an archaic, little used system. Seriously, have you ever seen a copy of the Texas Constitution? It is a mess. Many things in this state are a mess...look who we elected for Governor.

And yes...you could vote for one person in the primary and then caucus for the other.

I voted for one person in the primary (write in) and another in the caucus.

how funny.....and silly at the same time. What is reasoning behind having both? maybe you can answer that since you are from the lone star state.
