As I understand it, there are two prices for access... by the hour and by the day. (Or is that "buy" the hour or day? ;) ) My question concerns the hourly rate. Is the hourly rate:

1) good for one access session of up to 60 minutes, and you lose the remaining minutes when you log off, or

2) good for a total of 60 minutes in multiple sessions on one day, or

3) good for a total of 60 minutes spread over multiple sessions and days?

Since I only get online to check email now and then, the difference between the three choices is very pricey! I've used the free NetZero plan in the past. I would spring for $4 per hour if I can use all 60 minutes, but not if it's $4 per logon.

Thanks!

Thats a very good question but IMO you would be better off paying the $9.95 for a 24 hour period. This was taken off the resorts board below........

High-Speed Access with a Laptop

As of October 1, 2003, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort began offering high-speed Internet access in its guest rooms, at a charge of $4.95 per hour or $9.95 per 24 hour period. Within the next six months or so, all of Disney's convention hotels and Home-Away-From-Home/Disney Vacation Club resorts are scheduled to get high-speed Internet. The projected dates (subject to change) are:

Yacht & Beach Club - November 4, 2003
Contemporary Resort - December 2, 2003
Grand Floridian - December 2, 2003
Boardwalk Inn and Villas - December 30, 2003
Saratoga Springs Resort - January 30, 2004
Villas at Wilderness Lodge - February 27, 2004
Old Key West - April 2, 2004

Disney now offers Wi-Fi (high speed wireless Internet access) in the public areas of its convention hotels. You will need a Wi-Fi enabled laptop computer or PDA to access the Internet from designated areas of each resort. Smart City is the provider and bills the guest using a secure credit card transaction via an on-screen Internet connection. Requires a wireless interface card (WIC), available for purchase in the resort's business center. $4.99 per hour or $9.95 for a 24-hour period.

Locations for Disney's Wi-Fi access:

Grand Floridian - Main Lobby, Convention Center Hallway, Beach Pool
Contemporary - Main Lobby, Convention Center Hallway, Feature Pool
Yacht & Beach Club - Main Lobbies, Convention Center Hallway, Stormalong Bay Pool
Coronado Springs - Main Lobby, Convention Center Hallway, Feature Pool, Francisco's

I am sure that the sixty minutes do not roll over and that it is one continuous hour.

we had high speed internet at the bcv at easter and it was 9.95 for 24 hours. whether you were on for 24 hours or not. at the end of the 24 hour session, we were asked if we wanted to sign on again for another 24 hour session.

Just returned from BWV and it was 995 per 24 hour period. I did not see an option for 1 hour.

ALso I had to call to activate each new 24 hour segment.

Hi,
Just got back from the BWV and the BCV and the only in room option was for 24 hour access. The 1 hour (continuous) was only for the wireless option.

Mick.
