High School Rivalries....are they still there?

Growing up there were 3 high schools in town and my h.s. had a huge rivalry with one of the others. Now I'm leaving in an adjoining town and quite a few of my neighbors went to that other high school. When you meet these people and figure out where you went to school inevitably a comment is said about "that other school."

What was the rivalry where you grew up? And is it still there today?

just come to a HS football game in TX,rivalries are alive and well

Tonawanda Warriors on one side of the canal....North Tonawanda Lumberjacks on the other side of the canal.

Always have and always will be big time rivals....but in a non-violent way. ....especially when it comes to high school sports.

The T-NT football game is a highlight of the school year.

Yep alive and well here too.....however the school John-Cole goes to is so much smaller than the other school so we don't ever win....LOL!

My SO went to our rival HS. I didn't meet him until after I graduated HS though.

We had a huge rivalry, East vs. West, until they combined the two schools. Now we all have to get along!

Same here, North and South, but they combined the school in the 80s. Worked just fine now. I really don't know if we have rivalries, because my school doesn't do too well with sports, lol.

Huge rivalry in our district - East vs. West. Makes it great to be a spectator at those games.

At HS Basketball games, we have to extra security officers on hand - and - when the game is over, the one school must exit from one side of the building, and the other on the opposite end!
