I just read somewhere that HIFS runs a buy one get one free special every year. Can anyone tell me when this offer runs?I just booked the hotel yesterday for Dec.11-14th and got a rate of 89.00 a night because my mom gets the senior citizen rate.I thought this was pretty good -anyone think I can get it cheaper?I have never stayed here before -usually stay at all star resorts but wanted to try something new with MORE room!
Thanks,
Kim
P.S. How far will we be from the parks(specifically MGM and MK)

Hi, antkim:

Yes, the Holiday Inn chain runs this special regularly. I got it for Dec/January 2000.

The popularity of the HIFS has caused it to NOT be a BOGO offer for some days, though. I think your Mom's rate is a great one.

By the way, in comparison to the space at the All Stars, it's a pleasure!

Kim, when we've stayed at HIFS, we use MGM as our guide. . .aim for MGM, and HIFS is right behind! It felt like you could walk there! lol. MK, is further away, of course~maybe an extra 7-10 minutes? We're always gawking about, and the drive is never bothersome! HTH

BOGO stands for Buy One Get One Free. Evidently in the past Holiday Inn ran this promotion, but this year all I've seen is the Buy One Get One for Half Price.

Thanks everyone!Can't wait for December!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, I looked into the HIFS specials and got the Florida Lottery one for $109 a night. This is better than the "Buy one get second half off" which came to $129 a night. All I have to do is get a non winning lottery ticket to get this price. This place looks great!

Hey Russell, I have four Florida lottery tickets and only need one. I'd be more than happy to send you one! Let me know.

Thanks Debbie! That would be great! They just told me it needed to be a Florida US scratchoff game (that didn't win). So I would appreciate it very much! Could you mail it to my business?

Thank you very much!

No problem Russell, happy to help someone out. I was lucky because a friend of mine went to Fla during memorial weekend and got them for me. I will put it in the mail tomorrow.

Just booked Aug 30 - Sept 7. They had a "weekly rate" of $102, and a 21-day advanced (no cancellation, no changes) for $95.
I went with the 21 day advanced, since my airfare is non-refundable and my AP's run out Sept 7, and am not going back next year. I figured there is no way I can cancel out now, I'm going, even if I'm on my deathbed....

HIFS is VERY convenient to WDW if you have a car. you can be at EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and MGM in about 5 minutes. The Magic Kingdom takes about 10 minutes. I have stayed at HIFS during peak season and have found virtually no traffic from the hotel to WDW.

HIFS offers a very good breakfast buffet for everyone staying in the room which is included in the room price. Also, the room is nicer than the All Star resorts in my opinion

Hi antkim, russell, debbie and all

just ordered a lottery ticket from a friend who's a florida resident. I hope I don't win $55 million because i need to have a losing ticket to get my HIFS discount!

Don't worry Kenbar, it's a scratch-off, not the lotto, so the most you'll have to pass up is $10,000;)

I just called Holiday Inn Central Reservations and was given the rate of 89.00 for a kidsuite for the first week in November. When we convert to CAN $ it still is a good price!
I will still wait to see to see if there are any price reductions for WDWR for that time.

Do you know if you got that rate because of the time you were going or was it a part of another promo?

:D

I think the rate was because of the dates. Nov 3-11th. I also used my Priority Club Number(it is free).

CountryDuck, I got a rate of $109 using the FLA USA Lottery rate for 11/1 - 11/8. How did you get a rate of $89.00? Is this the senior rate? What is a priorty rate number? Thanks
