Hidden Mickey contest

My family is off to MVMCP this weekend. To spice things up a bit we have decided to have our own hidden Mickey contest. My plan is to make copies of the Magic Kingdom Scanenger Hunt in the Hidden Mickeys book and give one to each person. Each person has to be able to describe where they found the HM or take a digital picture. The winner will get a small gift and bragging rights. Has anyone ever done anything like this? Does anyone have any suggestions?

I think that sounds like a lot of fun. We love finding Hidden Mickeys. I bought the book to take on our September trip, and then left it next to my bed where I had been reading it. I just gave it to my daughter who will be going for her honeymoon in June.

No suggestions, but it sounds like a ton of fun!

We did the AP scavenger hunt a couple of years ago and WE LOVED IT We had been to MK dozens of times but we saw so much we had never seen before. It gave a whole new spin to a fun day at MK

I haven't done something like this, but when I was @ typhoon lagoon last august I got one of those refillable mugs, it has hibiscus flowers painted on the cup, and last month while i was drinking water from the cup I found a hidden mickey in part of the flower. So if you want to impress your family, and your'e going to typhoon lagoon... get one of the cups

WE never paid any attention to HM on previous trips -
until last trip when a awesome CM rode with DD on Splash Mountain and showed her a couple of the HM's. Now she wants to look for more.

So next trip we will be on a hunt.

What a blast! We ended up with 12 of us playing. My son (12) paired up with my friends husband. Those two were so funny. They rode some of the rides 4 and 5 times to find all the Mickeys. Even the rides they don't like, Pooh and Small World to name a few. At one point I found them outside of Peter Pan asking CM's for help. Of course I had to make a scene. I made sure everyone around us knew they were cheating. The CM kept telling us they weren't cheating because he didn't know where the Mickey was either. Most of the people around us had no idea what was going on. They just looked at us like we had lost our minds. I think that was the most fun my son has had at MK since he was really small. The hunt really does add something special to the trip. I recommend trying it. I'm sure my crew will be doing it again.

We met Christine (Mickey's Sunshine) on our last trip and my 12 year old feel in love with her. She had the Hidden Mickey book and we all had a blast looking. When we got home Christine sent John-Cole one of the books and he can't wait to get back Sunday to look for more Hidden Mickey's with his "Aunt Christine."

Is the Hidden Mickey book something a 10 yr old boy would like? DS wanted me to write out a list of HM's for him to look for our last trip. I was thinking this might be a good stocking stuffer and get him ready for our trip in April.

Maude4Disney, my son is 12 and he loves the book. I bought my book in March. My son immediately took it and has read it back to back at least 2 times and looked through it countless times. If your son is a nerd like mine or a disney junkie he'll love it.
