Hi, could someone tell me the name of the hibachi restaurant in Epcot and also if it's a bad idea because of the open grill to take a two year old there. I enjoy the show and food, but isnt it a little bit of a hazard taking a two year old?

Teppan Edo. When we ate with a younger child and they didn't have any problem. As long as they stay in the chair I don't think they can reach the heated surface.

Teppan Edo has a large eating area and little arms cannot reach to the heated surface unless an adult is holding the child out towards the cooking area. Should be no problem. You may want to keep your child back during the volcano fire though, it gets hot, but not close to anyone. My kids have loved it, but they now know it is coming.

Teppan Edo was great! I wouldn't worry about little kiddos - we eat at our local Hibachi/Teppanyaki all the time and never have had an incident with the kids.

We really enjoy Teppan Edo. A two year should not be able to reach the cooking surface. Enjoy! :goodvibes

I have a Japanese Steak House in the area I live and it is very good. I hope the Epcot one turns out to be really good for you.

There is also a hibachi-type restaurant, Benihana, in the Hilton across the street from DTD.

Young children are seated away from the grill. Parents may want to forego holding the child or putting the child closer to the grill.
