im new to this site as well and glad that i found it and all of the useful information too.
we are planning our 4th trip to disney in dec and sad to find out that the majic carpets of alladin will be closed again while we are there. My 4yo was looking forward to that ride. any idea why disney would close this ride during the same time of the year???

Many rides or attractions are closed the same time every year for annual refurbishments. The ride gets a once over to make sure it's in good health and sometimes a fresh coat of paint.
