Hello everyone from PA!
I just joined today and I was so excited to find this thread. How amazing to have so many Disney fans who are also my neighbors We live in Chester county.

I have been to Disney 3 times in my life. Once when I was 4, once when I was 12, and on my senior year high school trip. Now I am in my 30's and want to take my husband who has never been.

We are hoping to get there by 2009 (hopefully sooner). I have just started researching the all of the new resorts. Does anyone out there have some advice on which one to stay at?

Ok, well, I can't wait to get to know all of you!!

Wow, this thread really is full of people from PA! So it's as good a place as any for my very first post. I'm from State College, and we'll be visiting the Kingdom in June as a combo conference/vacation. It'll be my first time in an on-site resort since I was about 4 years old, and I'm already getting pretty geeked about it. In fact, I believe it calls for a dancing banana.

Hi from Philly, formerly from Delaware County (Marcus Hook to be exact). Our favorite place to stay is Wilderness Lodge. Unfortunately it is getting very pricey. So we solved the problem by purchasing DVC. & to make the DVC worth our while, I need to visit at least twice a year and in 2008 it will be 3 times.
Welcome to the boards, you will find lots of people with lots of different advice.

Hope you're not a Sox fan! Big Yankee fan here -- it's a catchy thing from my husband! We go up to Yankee stadium quite a few times each year & love it. Can't wait for the playoffs!! Funny thing though, he's only been to Disney ONCE! He's of the thinking "been there, done that" ????????? Cannot understand it!!! So I go without him!!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Well, the old house is empty and the new garage is full. We settled on our new house and moved to Schuylkill Haven on the 21st of December. I would never advise moving so close to a holiday, so just learn from my mistakes. What was I thinking? Well the kids wanted to have Christmas in their new house, and so so DH and I did our best. Thanks to Pam for hauling up all those Christmas presents so that my kids didn't see them...

Anyway, now that things are settleing down, I thought I would update anyone interested in a ladies only trip about the plans for 08.

October 3rd, leaving early morning, Sunray transportation to Disney's Beach Club, (where we have group rates), grab a quick bite to eat somewhere and head to EPCOT. Haven't gotten much further than that, other to say that we will be returning on the 6th in the early evening. So if we do 2 gals per room, the weekend is not to bad. Last year those of us who needed tickets, got the whole trip for less than $750.00.

So if you are interested PM me and I can put you on my list. I'm waiting for Disney to confirm the price that they will give us the Beach Club for and than I can give everyone a firmer budget.

So what a difference in weather Schuylkill Haven is from Quakertown. Not a bad thing, just a bit snowier(sp) but I'm not complaining.

OOPS on another note, I was wondering how many of us were interested in going to the Magic Meet held in Harrisburg this summer. This year it's on July 19th. You can get more info at www.magicmeets.com I was thinking that if there is enough of us, we could all sit together and say HI.
