Hi i'm from P.A.!!!!

So I'm driving home from work today thinking about how we won't get home this summer like we normally do. I was thinking of all the things I'll miss like Knoebels, Hershey, Kitchen Kettle, the Reading Phillies and others. Then I get on here and read you all chatting about going to some of these places and I am so bummed. I am sitting here trying not to cry!:sad1: I will just have to be glad for going back at Christmas. At least I can go to Hershey Candy Lane and Kitchen Kettle then. I'm glad to hear of you all enjoying your visits to these places!

GO FLYERS!!!!!!

Oooooh Look for bargin nights! Adults 8.50 and children (under 48") are 6.50 I'm so there. Here are the dates May 23, 30, June 6 then every Wednesday & Friday through August 22, August 29.Ride from 6 - 10 pm
(May 23, 30, Hours: 5 - 9 pm, June 11, 5-8:30)

Thanks Helene for the dates and prices. I am going to mark my calendar, and see if we end up with nothing to do one of these nights, we might take a run up.

How far are you from Knoebels?

Hey guys. Glad to see some Philly peeps. I was beginning to think everyone was from Middle or Western PA. I live in NE Philly - just a hop, skip and jump from Holland.:cheer2:
Linda, did you just get back - again!!! Oh, I am jealous.
Anyone looking at the deal they are running for fall? I know you people with kids might not be able to go then, but it is almost too good to pass up. I had no intention of taking another trip this year, but this deal is really making me think long and hard about it!!! Waiting for "Dreams" to get back to me with pricing.

I was born and raised in NE Philly, and graduated from NE High...
Does that count LOL ?? I moved out to Berks 12 years ago, and love it !!

We are booked for December, but did consider changing it to the fall- either way I am pulling the kids from school. But for once, I would like to do Disney in the least amount of heat as possible

I'm sorry that you are hurting.... I know what you are feeling...
About 1 year ago we moved from a place that I LOVED !! I loved my neighbors ( well most of them LOL), the schools, my house, etc...
I miss it very much, and whenever I hear a commercial on the radio for some place up there, or I get an email from an old neighbor, I cry....
I feel your pain

Thank you! That is so nice of you. I do love Iowa but along with my family there are alot of things to miss in Pa. I grew up in Berks County. Laureldale to be exact. One thing we love when we come home is the green hills!

Wow...another Berks Countian!! How 'bout that! :woohoo: Sorry that you're feeling homesick. I know how hard it is when family is far away. My brother & his family live in MS. That's one reason our Disney trips are so very precious to us. :grouphug:

I went to NE, too, although I am probably older than you. My DS also graduated from NEHS, but DD from GW. I grew up in the Oxford Circle and live in Somerton now. How 'bout you?

We have gone the past few years between Thanksgiving and Christmas:santa: and it is much cooler. I am dreading the thought of the heat, but the price is AMAZING!!

Fern!!!! You're back!!! Back on the boards that is. And Linda - you're BACK from DISNEY!!!! How about a quick trip report? I leave in 6 days, I can't believe it. This is a crazy busy week so it will be here before I know it. Penny - are you ready to go???

Ran down to the Phila. Premium Outlets today in the pouring rain. It was EMPTY to say the least! Had to go check out the new Yankee that opened last weekend.

Hey Tara, are you working tomorrow? If the weather is OK, Gray and I might stop by after swim class.

Pics??? Of course! :rotfl: But I didn't have time to get them on a CD yet. If I read the instructions on my camera, I could just plug it into the computer!! However, that won't happen!

Before I forget.....NO RAIN!!

c;mon Linda.. you can do it... you can do it !!! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

Which mall? They're all over down your way in malls. KOP, Montgomeryville, Deptford, Media, Springfield, etc. I work at the one in the Promenade Shops in Center Valley - an outside "lifestyle center" as they call it, not a mall. About 45 min. north of Philly. I went to the Phila. Premium Outlets because one opened there last weekend, it is really nice. TONS of deals on retired scents. My co-worker & I went down & together spent almost $300 - and that's after our 50% discount!

Good morning Lovely Diser in Pa!!! Hope your morning are as caffeinated as mine.. and honestly.. I have not had any caffeine yet weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:woohoo: :thumbsup2

Hmmm I miss home....

I graduated 1986-how about you? How old are your kids?
I didn't have kids until later in life LOL (29yo).
My kids are 10 & 5. I grew up in Krewstown, then moved over on Algon Avenue. I had family that lived over in Oxford Circle.
I went to Baldi, and should have attended GW, but my Dad was a die hard NE high Alumni LOL.
I am very excited about going in December this year-last time we were there (Oct 2006 w/free dining)- it was too hot !!

Is there anyone here on the boards that is a member of the West Reading, PA pool.
If so, could you PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE PM me.
Thanks
