THe kids actuallly had school today, but DH just got home....They went to WingBowl....said it was an "experience"

My DH was up looking for the WingBowl on TV.. He never did find it.

Yeah...We were the only school District around that was on time. I actually drove DS to school after watching the middle school kid's bus slide around the corner

It's a bunch of Crazies having a wing eating contest in the Wahchovia center. One of the sports radio stations started it about 10 years ago as a spoof, and it has now become a Philly tradition. Wings, drunks and wingettes....real classy affair

Oh Tara..What's the Wing Bowl? That is this eating contest in Philly that takes place just before the Superbowl.. The contestents eat chicken wings. Big rivalry goes on, between "El Wing A Dor and I , oh hell, I can't remember all their names. Anyway, it's an event.

Ok, so I had coffee by myself last night, so tonight I head back down. I drop Ellissa off at 7pm on Adrianna court, That in Valley Green, I think... It's a 2 hour Cadette meeting, so I need something to do. Last night I had 90 minutes, so I went shopping at Old Navy. Can you say save 50% off the already clearenced price. This were good.

My kids were off from school today as well. DH doesn't normally work on Friday's so my day has really been screwed up. Why can DH's just let a schedule run like it does when they are not around.


AAH my cruise. I won it at an Earmarked conference at Disney in Sept. The agency I work with is an Earmarked agency and I was down for a conference and the president of DCL gave each agent a 3 night cruise for 2. So I took my 2 oldest DD's. I'm heading out to Disneyland on an Agent Education program, staying at the Grand Californian. Should be pretty fun. Yes, I will do a TR when I get back.

TAra, can't believe you had never heard of wing bowl. I didn't hear who won this year. One year it was this petite girl. I don't know how she did it. It started out years ago with only about 150 people there. They have to clean every wing bone they eat. Quite the hype. I like wings, but certainly not that many or to eat that fast. We had a little ice problems here in Berks County but travel wasn't bad. Enjoy your evening.

Wow the Tattoo guys house is unbelieveable. Lots of detail and everthing thought out. Princess Always how would some of this go around the Yankee room?

I think that says it all!! Could you see my husband's face if I put just "ONE" Disney item in ths Yankee "sanctuary"??!?!!! Actually, I brought home a Mickey baseball for him once. Didn't make it in the room!! It's in my Disney collection!

Tara, don't you realize that a lot of caffeine can stunt your growth? I certainly can't afford that, and then with the osteoporosis that can set in, I am definitely going to start shrinking. Hopefully not like the witch in wizard of oz, melting..

Why don't DHs get the Disney thing??? The best WDW trips I have had were WITHOUT him! Or just last week, I had lunch with my BF (that's best friend, not BOY friend!!!) - I asked if she would be interested in a last minute girls only trip to Disney this fall. She got this annoyed look on her face & said "you really do go overboard on the Disney thing, don't you?" Ok I will NOT be asking her again!

That is a mystery!!! ooh,ooh.....girls trip????? YES YES YES I'll meet you there!!!!! Two of the best trips I took were with friends from work!!! We had the BEST time. And each of them were only weekend trips! Trips with family are wonderful & special, but trips with friends are great in a different way!!! I'm serious!!! If you want to go, I'm there! It's not like we haven't met before!!! DISmeet although it was short, it was nice to meet!

Pam & Tracy have a girls trip planned for mid October (I think) - girls can you post some more info for those of us still thinking of joining you?

I usually get the Disney bug in summer, I start collecting all of DHs frequent flyer & hotel points to see how cheaply I can go. I know right now I don't have enough points for a room or a park hopper - but I'm working on it! I do have about $100 Disney VISA rewards dollars that expire 12/31/08 though.....they will be burning a hole in my pocket by July!

It is nice to have girls only trips. The guys like their things, my husband likes to hunt, I just eat the fruits of his rewards. Tara, what an awesome house. Now I understand why you have high heating bills. Who is everyone rooting for in the superbowl. I would like to see the giants, as I would like to see Patriots lose one. Their heads are getting big, also this is DS's favorite team.

I tried asking my BF (best friend). She is afraid it will conflict with her daughter's Cross country schedule. They are good (made Nationals), but I keep telling her that she needs to make time for herself.

I was just talking to her on the phone this morning. The dates are 10-3 thru 10-6. We leave before the crack of dawn on Friday and back home farely late on Monday.
She is waiting on the group rates for the Beach Club. I know that i am going. I will need some trip to look forward to after this one that I am taking with the cheerleaders on Thursday.

I cannot be blamed for the actions of the cheerleaders. I am only going along, because my AP is paid for.

Off Topic - I just posted a LONG thread on the CB about in incident I had yesterday with DS10 & one of his friends & an ATV. Too long to post here but any of you with sons that have a sec, go read it & let me know what you would have done. I really got in the face of DSs friend, he was doing something dangerous & illegal & involved my DS, and I flipped out on him, and now I'm waiting for the parents to call & give it to me (they're in Mexico til tonight so no call yet). They're the type pf parents whose children can do no wrong. But I guess I had no right to get in his face like I did. ARGH! DS is only TEN and this crap is starting!
